"Out of the mouths of babes..." Sr. Carol reflects on heaven inspired by the vision of such from a young boy. Jesus talks about heaven in our scripture today but doesn't tell us exactly what that will look like. Hmmmmm.

LIVING IN PATIENCE
Living in patience offers us the opportunity to remain joyful when everything around us is directing us to give up, despair, and complain to God about our circumstances and situation.  As people of faith, we are called to live in patience, holiness and joy, remembering always that Jesus is the source of all joy.

In 1638, Allegri composed the "Miserere Mei Deus". It was sung during services traditionally on Good Friday of Holy Week, but only in the Sistine Chapel. The pope forbade anyone from transcribing it, and its exact composition was kept secret for over 100 years.  Today we have the privilege to pause and listen to the ancient Psalm and reflect upon the mercy of God.

Have you heard that phrase before-- "Actions speak louder than words"? It's a challenge that was always at the heart of Jesus' teachings. St. Paul reminds us today that God proved His love for you, for me, in what He DID. It's a witness we bear truth to every time we sign ourselves with the sign of the cross....

Eye of the Hurricane
When we are surrounded by chaos, it is often difficult for us to remember to center ourselves and go to that simple, quiet place that is our core, our center.  This is where we will find God.  He is in the calm center with His calming voice to reassure us, we are not alone.

Be centered in God.

Today is the feast of St. Rose of Lima (as in the capital city of Peru). Lauren reflects on a beautiful writing of St. Rose reminding us that there is no resurrection without the crucifixion.  Why is it that we hold on to things that keep us from Jesus? Because as Lauren shares, as in water tubing, it's hard to let go.
