The Howie Games

He was born in Texas, but landed in Melbourne and never looked back. He is one of the most remarkable stories the AFL has ever seen.

The American Pie has wowed the jam packed MCG on the biggest of occasions, and he is grateful for every second of it. Not bad for a bloke who didn’t know how to hold a football before flying to Melbourne to sign on the dotted line.

This tall intelligent human is a deep thinking, fun loving, curious and interested…. Aussie. That’s right, the Big Tex is an Australian Citizen. He is even making waves on his new Podcast, the Mason Cox Show.

Tune in, as we go around the world with Mason Cox. A story that Steven Spielberg would be proud of.

Mason Cox is the first American to ever play in the AFL and has a story that will absolutely blow your mind (and put a smile on your dial).

Before we get there though, this is the player profile of The Big Tex.

Oh and you should get your ears around Mason's podcast too - The Mason Cox Show - it's a beauty!

Erin Phillips is one of the world’s most successful multi-sport athletes. She has won a basketball world championship with Australia, two WNBA Championships, three AFL Premierships, two AFLW League Best and Fairests, and only now - yes now - is she about to live out her childhood dream!

But this superstar’s beautiful story is a whole lot greater than sport.

From the grandstand as a kid watching her Dad play for Port Adelaide, to basketball stories in Israel, and a deep conversation spanning same-sex marriage and the process of IVF.

This really is a Howie Games not to be missed.

"She felt the life go out of me"

You may know Ryan Campbell as a dashing wicketkeeper-batsman for Western Australia and Australia. I know him as a mate.

Campbo suffered a cardiac arrest in mid-April this year and he's bloody lucky to still be with us.

This isn't a typical ep where we delve into Ryan’s career. Rather, it's a chat about what Campbo went through, what he learnt about his heart and its health, how his perspective changed when he got a second chance at life and what we can all do to look after ourselves.❤️
