This is a phrase that I stole from a psychologist friend of mine who goes to a lot of autism conferences, where a particular speaker says this quite often. “If you’ve met one Aspy, you’ve met one Aspy.” Reminds me of our situation as INFJs.

This is one of the reasons why an INFJ has such poor boundaries as an adult. We don’t know what’s normal and what’s not, with regards to crossed boundaries, because we had our boundaries crossed repeatedly when we were children.

INFJs come across as cold, unemotional, and robotic. We are actually quite warm-hearted, and cozy people. But we only show this warm-hearted side of ours to specific people that we trust. We are afraid to show our true selves to everyone because we have had bad experiences with it in the past. Thus, we are often labeled, ice queens, ice princesses, ice princes, and ice kings.

INFJs are empaths, major ones. Which means that we are filters for our environments. Like a regular air filter, that filters out the bad by absorbing it or sucking the bad particles into itself, we do the same. We suck in all of the bad, and hold onto it, with our hearts, minds, and souls. And we release only the good back out into the ether.
