In the endless coverage of the ongoing wars and rumors of wars, rarely do we hear commentary on the central role that fossil fuels play in determining the winners and losers. Jacki gives a quick history of the past two world wars and how energy supply was determinative. The United States supplied between 70-80% of the fuel needed to win WW1 and WW2. The effect (purpose?) of the “green” movement is to ensure that the U.S. cannot do the same in WW3. This is why federal investigations have shown that the movement is foreign funded in large part. – Jacki gives a warm farewell message for Jim Henry, legendary oilman of the Permian Basin to whom all Americans owe a debt of gratitude.

Jacki gives her view of the U.S. House Speaker’s race, having been a former counsel on Capitol Hill to the Chairman of the Subcommittee on the Constitution (House Judiciary Committee). While Matt Gaetz’ tactics are high-risk (and extremely nerve-racking), Jacki believes he will be judged historically by the outcome. Likewise, talking heads repeat the criticism of a GOP House conference divided, but almost never tell the other half of the story: how we got here. Jacki shares her view of the palace intrigue that persistently surrounds most Republican speakers, whether state or federal, and how they bring many governance problems onto themselves. - - - - - What war in the Middle East means to the U.S. and Europe: Why do European nations constantly act counter to their own best interests and equivocate when bad actors wage war? (Hint: They are fatally reliant on the bad actors for oil and gas…those commodities the activists told you would be obsolete and irrelevant by now). With 1/5 of the world’s oil and 1/3 of all LNG shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, we cannot afford to get these things wrong! The mission of The Jacki Daily Show is to prevent World War 3. If only Europe had listened.

Daniel Turner of Power the Future joins Jacki to hash out new Biden Administration study that completely debunks the argument that green energy is “free” or cheaper than fossil fuels. After looking behind the shoddy reporting on the study, we find that the Texas Public Policy Foundation was right all along:  From 2010 to 2019, wind received nearly 50 times and solar more than 200 times more subsidies per unit of electricity generated than oil and gas. The new report proves that little has changed, and most of the cost is stealthily hidden in your tax bill, not your power bill (ignoring this basic fact is how dodgy reporters can make the silly claim that renewables are somehow more affordable than traditional fuels). At the same time, the White House is prohibiting official travel to fossil fuel conferences. Jacki and Daniel suggest the White House attempt to hold a fossil fuel-free conference and paint the picture of what that might look like. - - - - - Newsflash: Electric Vehicle charging stations are powered by diesel. Hat tip to Energy Absurdity’s David Blackmon for cuing us onto this story. - - - - - Jacki gives the conservation update on the impact of wind farms on the whale and raptor populations, recommending “Thrown to the Wind,” a new documentary about the threat offshore wind poses to whales.
