Well, the Super Bowl was a huge letdown and most of the commercials weren't worth talking about either. But there were a couple of moments worth mentioning.

The biggest one for me was the Washington Post commercial that ends with the tagline "Democracy dies in darkness."

From an influence perspective, this ad was brilliant. I want to break it down for you and talk a little about how easy it is to be influenced when you don't understand what's happening to you.

Starbucks founder Howard Schultz has suggested he might run for the presidency as an independent. Moore has been quick to go on the attack rejecting Schultz's claims that he is a self-made billionaire.

Moore's entire argument is without merit and I intend to prove it on today's show. Stand by for a verbal lashing, Mr. Moore.

I watched a movie over the weekend called American Animals. It was a decent movie about a bunch of college kids who decide to become art thieves. As you can imagine it didn't go well.

In the film, one of the characters reflects on the many chances he had to back out or make a different choice, but he never did.

Many of us act the same way in our lives. We know we're on the wrong path, but instead of making the hard choice, we resign to continue on a path that will never take us where we want to go.

It doesn't have to be that way. I'll explain.

It's shocking to me just how blinded we can be to the manipulation around us. Politicians are the worst. But the truth is, we are constantly surrounded by people trying to influence us.

We do it every day too. Our entire day is spent trying to convince our family, prospects, and co-workers to listen and agree with our way of thinking. There's nothing wrong with that... unless we're being unethical. And that's what I want to talk to you about today.

I want to teach you how to spot a liar, and we're going to use a famous politician as our whipping boy. :-)

Venezuela is in the final throes of collapse. President Maduro has been asked to step down and an interim president has been declared.

The country has imploded. The people are dying of starvation and lack of basic medical care. Black markets thrive and anyone who could leave already has. Only the poor and helpless remain.

What can we learn from this? We can spend time talking about the dangers of socialism but ultimately I want to talk about the power of personal wealth. Money is freedom and the more you have the freer you are.
