I'm not joking. Forbes.com actually printed an article from some egghead at Cornell University that claimed the way to grow our economy was by printing money and pumping it into untested green energy products.

The arguments in his seven-page piece range from misrepresentations to outright lies and Matt and I had a great time making him look stupid.

My hope is that you also learn a little about how our economy works and what is needed to bring more green energy to market.

It doesn't matter if you're on top of the mountain or down in the gutter, nothing is permanent. But I think that's a good thing. What it means is you don't have to stay where you are and just because someone has made it to the top doesn't mean he's going to stay there.

Los Angeles teachers are striking for the first time in 30 years, pitting the teachers' union against the local government. There are no good guys in this situation, but I'm sure it'll come as a surprise to many of you that I actually think the government could be "right" in this instance.

After starting out talking about the neurological impact of allowing negativity into your life, Matt and I delved into the world of education, and the conversation turned to artificial intelligence, unschooling, and--of course--the importance of constantly improving the value you can offer the world.

It's funny how different incentives can affect our decisions. Humans are an irrational group. We often don't make the same decision twice. The question is why?

That's what I want to talk about today. Matt and I do a deep dive on how supply, demand and outside influences affect things like the demand for oil and the price of weed.

I started this show intending on discussing cheap oil and New York's decision to start a Medicare for all program. We never got to either of those subjects.

What we did discuss in some detail was the failure of Americans to anticipate downside risk in their lives and plan accordingly. It's an important conversation for anyone assuming the good times will always get better.

I was so excited to when I found out Constance had agreed to come on the show and she didn't disappoint. She has been crushing it in the media a branding business for close to two decades and she's a shining example of what one can accomplish when you're willing to take risks and constantly stretch the limits of your abilities.
