Ross Dodds has made a huge name for himself in this industry. He has scaled his laundromat empire to 13 laundromats and counting AND owns a large pick-up and delivery business in the Los Angeles area. And Ross has some things to share with you about how he did it!
In today's show, we dive deep into what it takes to scale your business from one or two laundromats into 10+. In order to scale, you have to scale your systems, processes, employment staff, and your own personal skill set. Ross shares in detail what all of that has looked like for him and how you can do it, too.
Ross also does a deep dive into one of his deals and shares the numbers on what it took to buy the deal and how much money it took to turn the laundromat into a Luxe Laundry. You don't want to miss this deal deep dive!
In today's show, Ross and Jordan discuss:

There is a LOT going on with the economy, local politics, global politics, and more right now. Everywhere you turn are headlines about inflation, recession, war, uncertainty, market declines, and more. With all of these scary headlines, the question becomes: "How does all of this affect our businesses and our lives?"
It's a difficult question to answer as there are so many variables to consider and so many unknowns. However, we do know that there is nothing new about inflation, recessions, wars, market fluctuations, and many of the other things going on in our world today.
So, one of the best ways to chart our path forward is to look at the lessons we've learned in the past. In times of change, fortunes are lost and fortunes are made. Inflation and a looming recession could spell disaster for your laundromat and your personal finances, or it can add a zero to your income and net worth.
In today's show, we're going to explore some ways that laundromat owners and investors can prepare for a recession, whether one is coming or not. We'll focus on 7 primary steps to take to prepare your business and yourself for a potential recession and set you up for success no matter what happens going forward!

This episode answers one of the most frequent questions we get asked: "How do I know how much a laundromat is worth?" While there is a lot that goes into determining the valuation of a laundromat, the information in this episode will allow you to get an accurate initial valuation to make an offer on a laundromat.
This episode is taken from the first part of a webinar that Jordan gives every 4-6 weeks on how to analyze a laundromat deal. The second part of the webinar explains the process of due diligence and how to verify the critical numbers that determine the value and performance of a laundromat. To sign up for the next webinar, check out the Events page! You can also watch a replay of the Analysis webinar and every other webinar we've ever done on-demand when you join the Pro Community!

Laundromat franchises are gaining popularity fast in America but there isn't much information about them out there yet. That's about to change. Alex Smereczniak of Laundrolab joins us on the podcast this week to talk about the ins and outs of laundromat franchises.
Many wonder what value a franchisor brings to the laundromat business and Jordan asks him that outright. They talk through the good, the bad, and the ugly of the laundromat franchise model. They discuss who is a good fit for a franchise and who might not be a good fit. They even discuss how much a franchise location costs and what their model is.
But this episode isn't only for those who are interested in learning about franchises. Alex has experience running successful laundromats himself and has insights into successful franchisee businesses. And he shares those success tips with us on the show today, as well!
In addition, Alex is joining Jordan for a free live webinar/Q&A on all things franchising on Thursday, May 24, 2022. If it has already passed, you can view the replay of that webinar and all of the other webinars we've done by joining the Pro Community.
In today's show, Alex and Jordan discuss:

Elite athletes, professional musicians, C-Suite executives. What do they all have in common? Well, for one, they're all at the top of their game in their profession. But, for two, they almost always have a coach that is helping them continually progress to reach higher heights and to reach them faster.
The thing is, having a coach doesn't have to be just for the elite. In fact, I would argue that the elite are often elite because they have great coaches. They don't get great coaches when they become elite.
What does this all mean for you? It might mean that you need to get a coach to help you get to the next level and reach your goals faster. Whether you're looking to buy your first laundromat, wanting to scale your business faster, or trying to branch out to another business or real estate investing, having a great coach will help you overcome the obstacles in your way to getting there.
Today's guest, Jason Drees, is a performance coach who I have been using to help me level up my business game, and on today's show, he shares some advice on how you can up your game, too!
Some of the topics that Jason and Jordan cover are:
