  • To all the Resolutions

As we head into 2019, everyone is in a resolute mood trying to accomplish everything in the first month of the year. Instead, try to focus on 2 things, not all 24. At the end of 2019, you will see much more accomplishment if you simplify your focus.

  • Managing Change

Episode 34 is the first episode that touches on managing change. All prior episodes focused on leading change, and managing change follow the same process, but it hits us harder. Last week, I was hit with the news of losing a close friend. I touch on how this was managing change, and how I found myself spending more time in the early stages of change: shock, denial, and anger. Ultimately, understanding how we move through change makes, even those from left field, a bit easier. Easier...not forgotten.

  • The Domino Effect

Back to leading change, this episode focuses on the Domino Effect and positive chain reactions. Discussed are three simple steps to follow. 1. Focus on the most important tasks or changes...what's easy to accomplish, two, build momentum, and three, break down larger tasks into smaller, easier components. Following this path will lead to the successful macro changes you want to see in life. The domino effect is also something that you but into play, by lining up the pieces, it doesn't just land in your lap.

  • Trust Other People, Reduce the Worrying and Over-Planning

In the final episode on Other-thinking, I move from trusting yourself, into trusting those individuals that are around you. This trust will ultimately reduce your worrying and over-planning. You can improve this by asking the question of "why," you don't trust them and also practicing patience. In my final thoughts, I express that over-thinking is human, and we all do it. Reducing it is the key to a get-things-done, live-life-without regret time here on earth. So all around simple assistance is in distracting yourself, exercising, and mediation. Enjoy!

  • Overthinking - The True Reasons

Week 2 of Overthinking focuses on the real reason why we spend countless hours in analysis paralysis and a state of worrying. Half the time, we can control this state by taking action and pushing ourselves out of this state. The other half of the time, we need to just let "it" go. Also highlighted are some ways to start working your way out of this state by overall, changing your perception.

  • Why We Overthink

In Week 1 of 4 on Overthinking, we spend some time discussing the reasons we overthink; random thoughts, extreme planning (perfectionism) / analysis paralysis, and worrying. Most of thinking is a waste of time. You either have no control of the outcome or if you do have control, you should be spending time "doing," creating action, and not overthinking how you want to go about it. Image how much we would accomplish in life if we spent half the time in thought, making our thoughts applicable.
