The Intelligence of Water with Veda Austin

Veda Austin is a Water Researcher, taking Crystallographic images of frozen water - visually capturing the way water responds to influences around it and producing mind blowing results that show quite clearly that water does have it's own intelligence, in the 3D realm and beyond the veil.

In this episode we discuss the intelligence of water in relation to pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, our amniotic fluid, early birth blood, fertile and infertile semen and many more examples of the way bodily fluids can tell us something about ourselves.

I have many questions for Veda in this episode; about the way the moon affects water, if ocean water can become informed, how exactly our thoughts and feelings imprint on us as literal bodies of water and how water stores information and memory.

Celebrating Death in Birth: The Early Freebirth of Freya Rose

After experiencing a traumatic first birth, Erin decided she was going to freebirth her second child and during her pregnancy weaved a beautiful web of wise women around her; who would later become her supportive tribe when she birthed her babe early.

Erin speaks so powerfully and so candidly about the loss of her baby girl and the medicine she received in being able to do so. She touches on the stigma around miscarriages and the unspoken process that becomes so dehumanised by the way society speaks about it and her newfound understanding that she wishes to share with other women - that death is sad, but not scary.

Erin shares about the painful moment she first realised her baby had died, she describes the physiology of birthing her baby undisturbed and freely in her home, the difference between fear and body wisdom/intuition, the ways in she which she honoured her daughter, herself and her experience - and expresses so perfectly the duality of celebrating life and death together.

Erin shares the gratitude and growth she leant into, her new relationship to life and birth via the desire she had to experience it all (physically, emotionally, spiritually and mentally), the reclamation of, and reconnection to her body wisdom, through witnessing her body birth her babe unassisted - and the beautiful way she speaks about it all with her youngest daughter.

Erin now facilitates Early Birth Shamanic Healing and Celebratory Ceremony and Ritual for women and is also now teaching Birthworkers how to come into relationship with death as a part of birthwork, so that they are able to support birthing women without fear.

We speak about the Pill and it's damaging effects, the natural forms of contraception and conception (that no one is speaking about), the difference between The Rhythm Method and FAM (The Fertility Awareness Method), learning to observe the body for hormonal health and fertility and our common dislike of Period Tracking Apps.

We chat about common female reproductive health issues such as PCOS, Endometriosis, cysts and fibroids - some of the causes of these and offers some wise woman practices to correct them. Laura delves into Postpartum Tracking for Mothers and squashes the myths around a postpartum mother's cycle returning.

After an older wise women in her community told Kendall that Mothers used to birth their babies in the local river, she decided to birth her first babe at home - and that hiring a Midwife would be a 'happy medium' as a first time Mum.

But once there was meconium in her waters, and her Midwife had consulted the hospital behind her back, she didn't feel supported anymore. Kendall's homebirth transfer resulted in a traumatic first birth. She lost trust in herself and became confused as to why her experience was so different from the birth vision she had worked so hard to manifest.

Second time pregnant, Kendall spontaneously cancelled her one and only Midwife appointment to go surfing with her husband - and from that day forward took sole responsibility of her prenatal care. Kendall rented an Air BnB and found a supportive birth partner in her sister, alongside her husband.

A momentary lapse in confidence during labour saw Kendall heading back to the same hospital she had birthed her first son. But divine intervention (and 2 cattle grids!) swept in en route to stop that from happening. I'll leave the rest of this epic story for you to listen to!

After a traumatic and painful induced first birth, followed by a disconnected postpartum; Chantelle swore she would never birth in the same rural hospital within her South Australian town ever again.

Chantelle shares her journey to an unassisted second birth, including her early birth and loss in between and the visitation form her Spirit Baby that guided her in learning to trust herself again.

She shares the ways in which she navigated a wild pregnancy in a small Australian town and the boundaries required when those closest to her disagreed with her birthing choices.

Chantelle describes the way every part of her sacred and powerful freebirth healed her, including the revisitation to the hospital she had sworn never to return to, after an issue with her placenta delivery.

Her story is one of powerful intuition and trust - and a perfect example of the ways in which we can, and should be able to, access medical care if needed.

This episode came from deep within the archives of 2020 unedited interviews, and it couldn't be unearthed at a more perfect time as women and birthworkers are exploring women's rights in childbirth within the system. 

I had an in depth discussion with Tina Charlton, Freebirth Witness and Support, starting out with her research in Obstetric Violence in her home country of Germany and then within her second home, Australia.

We touched on the questions that so many women ponder, and the facts so many mis-educate on: 

Is it really enough to know your birth rights?
The loose language used around these.
Even when you know them, are they going to upheld?
Is anybody ever held accountable if they're not?

We dove deep into the reframing of birth trauma by the system, the normalisation of inflicted birth injuries, the grooming of women starting in teenage years under the guise of reproductive health, how to truly research birth and educate yourself with independent information, what true birth trauma support looks like and who you should be turning to for that, what is consent, what is medical negligence and lastly - why are there so many men in positions of care within women's reproductive health?

Feminine Rites of Rage with Vanessa Beauchamp from Weaving Hearth

Vanessa is an extremely talented writer and creative, working to guide women in reclaiming their fire.

I this episode, Vanessa shares her wisdom around the neglected, rejected and repressed parts of ourselves - as mothers and women; the split between the mother and the whore, the othering in the 'healer' world, what a true Matriarchal home can look like, the suppression rather than expression of what we feel as women and the detrimental ways this is feeding into the collective.
 
We discuss the ways in which men have been granted permission to feel their rage and their fire, yet we have not as women; the ways we've been conditioned to override our sensory experiences instead of inviting them in; the ways in which we can clear the bloodlines of our ancestry and the unspoken shadow side of motherhood. 

The most important take away for me was the rembering that EVERYTHING walks with it's opposite; therefore when we push away our rage, we also push away our desire! I know you'll love this chat about uncovering our pains as women, to be able to experience the inflow of it's polar opposite - JOY!
