While working as an account executive for an LA investment firm and attending a seminar called Money Magic, Poneman came to the conclusion that prosperity is actually not created by investing wisely, but rather by using energetic tools and the creative power of the mind. She knew immediately that her life's work was to share this knowledge with the world. Poneman spent the next six months studying the laws of success and prosperity as touted by icons of metaphysical thought like Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, Florence Scovel Shinn, and the great Wallace Wattles.
