Listen in to hear how she is navigating the hard, the human, and the straight up WTFs of her sober curiosity, aka her journey of on and off quitting alcohol…like a woman.

In this third episode of the newest, uncut series of the podcast, G is coming to you from wherever the F she finds herself to share an aspect of mother-ing that has her saying, "What in the actual . . .?!" Because it's always nice to feel less alone in the clusterfuck that is life. Gervase is dropping in from the parking lot of a hair salon to share ways to navigate the hard, the human, and the straight up WTFs of over-giving to our children.
Here's a WTF gem, straight from G herself:My goal as a mom is to really equip my children with the emotional resilience and tenacity to understand that their feelings are great, that they should feel them all, let it out. I want them to know I'm holding space for them, and also that they don't get to blame those feelings on me. They don't get to take and take and take from me until I have nothing left. That is not the model I want to give to my children.
We as mothers need to hear that just because we know how to nurture does not mean that we have to be a punching bag. It takes work and it takes time, but once we're able to understand our tendency to over-give, to really look at the reasons why we're over-extending ourselves, that's when we're able to operate with a sovereign boundary: a boundary that allows us to continue to give from a place of love rather than resentment, taking care of our loved ones while also loving ourselves.
Love you so much. Muah!G

We're going off-the-grid! Join us on this episode of the It's All Me podcast, as Gervase sits down with modern day cowgirl Arielle Crawford to discuss what it's truly like to live off grid in today's world. Gervase and Arielle dive deep into Arielle's reason for and journey to living off-the-grid, the stories we tell ourselves that leave us feeling disempowered as women, the power of community, and how living off the land can help you heal.
In this episode Gervase and Arielle dive into:
Arielle Crawford is a homesteader and rancher in Central Texas. Before fulfilling her dream of living off grid, she was working in sustainable fashion in New York. She received her MBA from FIT, where she teaches Sustainable Manufacturing. Arielle launched her eponymous label in 2018 after 10 years experience in the fashion industry. After hitting a ceiling with sustainability in the big city, she decided to make the leap and move to Hill Country, where she practices off-grid living, natural building, and land stewardship. In addition to being a badass woman, Arielle is now a zero-waster and climate lobbyist for CCL, where she leads the Fashion Industry Action Team.

'Boundaries' has become quite a buzzword over the past decade (for good reason!), but what do you really know about them? On this week's solo episode of the It's All Me podcast, Gervase dives below the surface level of boundaries, covering what they can look like, how to set them from a place of love and deep discernment, and why they are the most loving action you can take in your relationships. Join G as she shares boundary examples around toxic friendships, sibling dynamics, and parental relationships.
In this episode Gervase discusses:
This episode is for the woman who is ready to stop feeling like a victim, who is ready to claim her peace and protect herself and others in the most loving, proactive (read: not reactive!) way possible. You get to have friendships that are mutually satisfying, energetically healthy, and sustainable. You just have to take responsibility and claim it.

On this week's solo episode, Gervase is digging into the programming most of us have that tells us everything is equally important.
When we decide we're no longer available to do it all, it all shifts. When we trade doing everything for ONLY doing the things in our zone of genius, the result is freedom to finally focus on what's actually important to you.
In this episode G shares:
This is the inspiration for Legacy! It is the innerwork that you will receive if you join us. Give voice, vision, time, energy and money to the life, legacy and identity that is in your heart to live.
You run a tiny universe! STOP doing it all. Be MORE YOU while doing what matters most!

In this new, uncut series of the podcast, G is coming to you from wherever the F she finds herself (a power walk, maybe?) to share an aspect of woman-ing that has her saying, "What in the actual . . .?!" Because it's always nice to feel less alone in the clusterfuck that is life and to hear how we're navigating the hard, the human and the straight up WTFs of, well . . . back to school, for example.
Personally, this back-to-school season was ripe with basic B mom triggers where I found myself in spirals of doubt. Why did I let the girls pick out their own clothes? Did everyone else bring supplies to the first event? Why am I so bad at this and other moms are so good? Remember that in this WTFness of modern motherhood, you can take your power back when you stop the self-judgment. It's all an opportunity to remember that when you prioritize the things that matter to YOU as a parent, everything gets a LOT easier.
I love you so much. You're doing amazing!

Trigger warning: In this episode we will be discussing abortion and sharing a story of a newborn baby's death. Please care for your wellbeing
In today's episode Gervase is talking with newfound activist and a Charleston force for abortion rights, Sarah Frick. Sarah shares her personal and painful story of losing her first baby, Grace, at three days old and the medical complication that led to her making the choice to abort her next two fetuses before finally birthing the three healthy children she has now. It's messy and inspiring, as all the best stories are, which is why we hope this conversation empowers you to go share yours with people open to listening.
In this episode we dive into:
We know conversations about abortion aren't always "comfortable," but we believe compassionate conversations are the only things with the power to change the lens through which we see complex issues.
If you would like to take action to support Reject the Total Abortion Ban- Call your Senator immediately and tell them to vote NO H 5399 before the bill is debated on the Senate floor on Wednesday, September 7, 2022

More about Sarah Frick:
Sarah Frick has been in the yoga and fitness industry for 16 years. After opening and operating two successful power yoga studios for 10 years in Charleston, South Carolina, Sarah sold both at the peak of their success to rebrand not only her fitness concept but herself. She wanted more than just a fitness experience. Sarah's life had changed. She had changed. She had grown. She had experienced loss. She had experienced grief. And, ultimately, she had experienced grace. Losing her first child, Grace,in early infancy was a pivotal point in Sarah's life. Losing Grace dropped Sarah into her body, into her heart, and into her life to truly see what was important and what mattered. From that, The Works Method started to bud and to take life. This practice she created—The Works Method—is extremely physical. She inspires people to think, If I can work through some of this shit on my mat, imagine what I can do in my own life. Sarah currently lives in a little beach town with her three wild children and equally wild husband.

In this complex conversation with Kerri Kelly, the author of American Detox, Kerri shares with Gervase the event that disrupted life and forever changed her as she strove to find meaning, healing and understanding of who she was and how she got to this place. In this episode we dive into:
Kerri shares that you can start to recalibrate your life around new values based on the truth. Just being willing to hold the truth and be changed by the truth allows you to see that the "we" is more important than the "I" if we are going to survive and thrive together. It's about opening to the whole truth in our world and realizing that we have all internalized the teaching of toxic ideas. By interrogating our actions and thoughts, locating where we are inside of the systems of power and privilege and engaging collectively we can imagine a better world for everyone.
Kerri is the founder of CTZNWELL, a movement that is democratizing wellbeing for all. A descendant of generations of firemen and first responders, Kerri has dedicated her life to kicking down doors and fighting for justice. She's been teaching yoga for over 20 years and is known for making waves in the wellness industry by challenging norms, disrupting systems and mobilizing people to act.
