June 2nd is International Whores' Day! To celebrate, we are re-releasing an episode from Season Two featuring Kaytlin Bailey & Ceyenne Doroshow. By doing this, we hope to draw attention to how far the sex worker rights movement has come in the last three years since their conversation.
Telling our stories has an impact. Keep telling yours, and we'll keep those of the sex workers who came before us.
Margo St. James, who founded the prostitutes' rights organization COYOTE (Call Off Your Old Tired Ethics) and later the St. James Infirmary, passed away this year on January 11, 2021. As a tribute to Margo, we have the great pleasure of speaking with living legends of the early sex worker rights movement, Lottie Da, Molly Bode, and Carol Leigh.
Original Audio from the short film Hookers 1975 by George Csicsery, Zala Films and Carol Leigh's film Outlaw Poverty Not Prostitution
Original Music by Queen Ida
