Capt. Kevin, Capt. Ricky and Capt. Cory got to hang out for this episode and talk about the good times. No reminiscing here – they were talking about how gorgeous it was today, and how much fun they had fishing!

With Jeff checking in on the phone, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Kirk talked about everything from odd weather, crazy storm and all-around interesting fishing conditions to Cicada-geddon (it’s a thing – listen to find out the details). And of course they took a minute to talk about Anthony Terry, the Pants-less Boat Bandit (make sure you visit our FB page to check out his fantastic mug shot).

Throw in a nice little discussion about mono vs. fluorocarbon, and you’ve got another fun Outdoors Show episode on your hands…

Capt. Kevin had a full house for this episode – Capt. Cory was back, and Capt. “Hollywood” Ricky Poupore made his return! Good thing there were three captains in the house, because there was PLENTY of great fishing to talk about…and Capt. Chip chimed in to talk inshore as well.

Capt. Kirk was off doing some OSR, so Capt. Kevin and Jeff decided to go play with some boats! The guys were live at Consignment Boat Sales to check out some beautiful boats (that YOU can buy) and talk about some AMAZING fishing.

The guys also heard from Sam Dean, who shared details about the bass tournament benefiting Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital, Tim “Mayor of Mayport” Carney, and shrimper Ronald Yow, who shared some great shrimping stories!

Jeff also shared some stories about his baseball championship reunion in Virginia…and some of the great fishing he experienced while he was there.

Capt. Kevin welcomed in Capt. Cory Sparks once again to talk about just how interesting it’s been on the water this past week…and how the spot you choose makes ALL the difference.  As usual, Capt. Chip Wingo checked in, but Capt. Leon checked out…so Capt. Kevin welcomed in Paul Hamilton, who talked about the 35th Annual Bass Tournament which benefits Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital.

Not only that, but you’ll get what you came for: the first forecast of May!

With Jeff away doing some OSR in Virginia, Capt. Kevin and Capt. Kirk called in a favor from Capt. Chip Wingo, who sat in with them to talk…fishing, of course!

Jeff did call in to talk about his fishing adventures up in his old stomping grounds, and he hung out for a while…which gave him the chance to listen in to Mike McCormick. Mike called in to talk about Drug Takeback Day – and you ask what that has to do with the outdoors?  You definitely need to listen to Mike, because he lays out just how drugs can get into the environment and poison local fish and wildlife.

The fishing conversation continued throughout the show, and led to a great discussion about the pros and cons of fishing technology. Does it make fishing better…or does it take away from the joy of fishing?

Capt. Cory Sparks joined Capt. Kevin this week to talk about the great fishing…and the great weather.  Capt. Leon and Capt. Chip hopped to talk about the same thing! Imagine that!  Yeah, it’s been a great week on the water for sure, but the question is this: Will the great weather continue? Listen in to find out.

So the guys hit the studio this morning wishing they could be on the water instead. As you may or may not know, April is typically the month where you enjoy some great fishing in spite of the lousy weather.  Well it’s VERY different this year, and the past several days have been incredible. The guys talked about all the cool catches, and Kevin even managed to land an octopus! Capt. Bryan LeSage also dropped by to talk tuna and the big trip he took recently.

And last, but certainly not least, Jeff, after some prompting, shared his somewhat embarrassing turkey story…but you’ll have to listen to get the details.

So what in the wide world of sports is-a goin’ on in here? Capt. Kevin may be loving it, but he’s still scratching his head about it.  Typically, you enjoy the good fishing DESPITE the lousy April weather.  But this year, and especially this week, the weather is simply phenomenal.  But the question is this: will it continue? Capt. Kevin and Capt. Ricky talk about it…and of course, some of your favorite chime in with their two cents worth as well.

The boys rolled into the studio after one heck of a week, and they had A LOT to talk about! Crazy fishing, a cool turkey story, fun at the Clay County Fair, the after affects of eating asparagus, and more. Yeah, it didn’t take long for things to get sideways…and they never really got back on the tracks!
