  • Episode 115 - Online Dating for Men Over 40: Tips, Tricks and Strategies for Success
Are you a man in his 40s, 50s, 60s, or beyond who is getting back into the dating scene?
Maybe you’re newly divorced. Maybe you’ve never had a partner and are looking for someone to share your time with. Or maybe you are single, have just transformed your body, and want to experience a new relationship.

Is that you? If I were you, I didn’t even know where to start.

I’m happily married, but there were no online apps when I was dating. I used to meet women at the club or at a beach.

Now, the landscape is entirely different. And if you haven’t been in the game for a long time, you will be lost. So much has changed. But fear not!

Today I have a guest, Koen Geron, who’ll help you learn the ins and outs of online dating, especially for men in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and beyond.

Koen Geron spent more than a decade studying communication, psychology, how relationships work, and what makes a person attractive, among other things.
He has become an expert in finding partners and has created an online business called Hovalo. Hovalo focuses on online dating for executives, entrepreneurs, creators, and professionals who struggle to find the connection they deserve.

I had so much fun talking with Keon. I hope you enjoy it, too, while you learn some tips and strategies to embark on online dating with confidence.

“See it as a process, just like fitness. Try to make your gains, try to make your reps, do all the things that you would do for fitness. Also realize that you kinda need to do those things as well for dating profiles. You need to spend hours on swiping, matching, texting, and on your profile.”
    —Koen Geron

    In This Episode:

    • Why would you choose online dating?
    • Type of photos you should put on your profile
    • Picking clothing that makes you attractive
    • Should you show your body in your pics?
    • What should you write in your description?
    • How to talk about your exes with new dates
    • You’re not your online dating profile
    • Texting tips and strategies
    • Don’t worry if your first date sucks
    • Online dating platforms for older folks

  • Episode 114 - Losing Belly Fat for Men Over 40: Myths, Mistakes, and Effective Strategies
Getting rid of that stubborn belly fat is simple. Whether it's the last little bit of fat you need to get rid of or if you're "skinny fat" or obese, you can do it.
There's a solution to achieve this goal, but you must be patient and consistent. Put your head down for six months, and you won't believe how that fat just seems to disappear overnight.

Today's episode is an internal coaching call. I decided to make it a podcast episode because we did a survey about the number one struggle men over 40 have when it comes to fitness. And the number one answer was getting rid of belly fat.
I'll guide you on your journey to a healthier, fitter you. This is straight talk here, and most guys simply do not want to hear it. Why?

Because it means they will have to make drastic changes in their diet, workouts, and lifestyle.

You must be in it 100%, or it will never happen!

So today, I'm debunking some myths, pointing out the mistakes many men over 40 make,
and sharing strategies to eliminate belly fat.

Are you ready? The change starts now.

“You don’t have to hit the rock button of being out of shape. You don’t have to have that health scare in order to change things.”

  • Episode 113 - Why Men Over 40 Need A Strong Pelvic Floor With Jana Danielson
A strong pelvic floor can help with tight hips, back pain, and erectile dysfunction. As a former professional athlete, I know about the importance of it. But only a few guys realize they even have a pelvic floor.
Most men think that women are the only ones with a pelvic floor and that it becomes relevant to them when they give birth. Although guys may have heard about kegel exercises or Pilates to strengthen that area of the body, they don’t believe these exercises apply to them.
But I have news for you.
That little area between the anus and the scrotum is your pelvic floor. You need to strengthen it to improve your sexual drive, the functionality of your bladder, and your performance when you train at the gym or practice sports.
So today, I have a guest that is a pelvic floor expert. She is Jana Danielson, a Pilates certified instructor, studio owner, and Amazon Best Selling Author. She has spent many years now educating and training people to make them aware of their pelvic floor and how strengthening it will improve their well-being exponentially.
Besides, she’s the creator of the Cooch Ball, the world’s first patented pelvic floor fitness tool for women. She also has some solutions for men, so you don’t want to miss out on her wisdom.
Jana introduced me to a three-minute routine I now do daily to strengthen my pelvic floor. After listening to this episode, I’m sure you’ll start doing it too.
“You can be rocking a six-pack. That does not mean that the rest of your core is strong, right? So understand that the pieces of the core, if they are not, you know, functionally working together, part of it can be functional, but part of it can be very dysfunctional.”
    —Jana Danielson
    In This Episode:

    • Jana Danielson’s background
    • Pilates as a tool for healing
    • Definition and function of the pelvic floor
    • What happens when your pelvic floor is weak?
    • Erectile dysfunction and its connection to the pelvic floor

  • Episode 110 - Muscle Talk 3 With Funk and Flex - Reverse Pyramid Training
Building muscle is one of the things we struggle with as we get older. This happens because we start to suffer from sarcopenia, the natural muscle loss due to aging. So if we are not consistently in the gym (or at home) engaging in resistance training or building muscle, we will lose our muscles even faster.

Unfortunately, the loss of muscle leads to many illnesses and ailments. Some of them are decreased bone density, elevated risk of falls, and slower recovery times. We need to know how to build muscle the right way, which is why I created Muscle Talks and invited coach Flex Marks to this section of the podcast.
Coach Flex Marks really brings a different perspective and out-of-the-box training. When he trains people, he gets them results.

In this episode, Flex explains his reverse pyramid training, also known as 5/4/3/2/1 training. IT BLEW ME AWAY when I first heard about it in one of our private Facebook groups. And he’s breaking it down for you today.

  • Episode 109 - Letting Go of Alcohol and Improving Sleep With James Swanwick
If you want to naturally increase your testosterone levels, alcohol is one of the first things you need to cut off. Alcohol increases estrogen, the female hormone.
We need to have a little bit of estrogen in our blood, but too much of it causes belly fat storage and man boobs and keeps us counterbalanced.

Sleep is essential, too, for the production of testosterone. This hormone is produced in the morning, but deep sleep is crucial. Since alcohol compromises the quality of your sleep, its consumption compromises your testosterone levels.

Today’s guest, James Swanwick, is an expert in both alcohol and sleep.
James Swanwick is a former SportsCenter anchor on ESPN, CEO and founder of Swanwick Sleep and Alcohol-Free Lifestyle, and host of the podcast Alcohol-Free Lifestyle.
His teachings on sleep and alcohol have been featured in Forbes, Entrepreneur magazine, and Psychology Today.

Swanwick Sleep makes stylish blue light-blocking glasses known as Swannies. These products help people avoid the harmful effects of exposure to blue light and improve their sleep quality.
Besides, he’s the author of “The 30 Day No Alcohol Challenge”, a book that helps people let go of alcohol, even if they are only social drinkers, to take their performance from average to the highest level!

As you can tell, I had enough reasons to bring James to the show. Tune in to discover amazing hacks you can utilize to quit alcohol for good, improve your sleep and feel even more SuperHuman.

“If you’ve got those five pillars (fun, community, accountability, coaching, and skin in the game), you’ll stop drinking. But most people are just tryna use willpower and motivation, and they are stuck in the hamster wheel.”

    —James Swanwick

    In This Episode:

    • How did James become an alcohol and sleep expert
    • Why do you need to do a 30-day challenge but be open to continue
    • The effects of drinking alcohol
    • How fast will your health improve if you quit alcohol now
