  • Revisit: How To Navigate Relationship Problems

    Episode #206

Something we have learned in working with hundreds of men is that most men don't know who they are.

They are not able to clearly define what a powerful man is for them and how a man should handle arguments in a relationship.

A piece of advice we give our men when it comes to their relationships is DO NOT try to win in an argument…instead try to connect, try to make peace, and talk it out.

When we turn to honest communication we will result in a loving and peaceful relationship.

A few things most men do that we advise to NOT do:

DO NOT punish your partner by giving her silent treatment or by giving her distance after an argument. This is an immature way to handle it.

DO NOT push her away just because you are hurt. We tend to show cold treatment and distance because we want them to come running for us and to validate our feelings. In return, the distance between you will grow over time and it will eventually make you miles apart emotionally.

If the argument is not communicated well, it can become cumulative. The fights will go deeper and you will argue more and more. Due to the resentment that was built up, triggers from the past can come up that have nothing to do with your relationship at all.

Relationships are one of the most important areas in our lives. If you have unresolved arguments in your relationship it causes a disadvantage for you. It will affect ALL areas of your life.

In this episode, we teach you how to deal with issues in your relationship in an efficient way that is effective and healthy.

Clean up your side of the street first. Take a look at yourself and be the perfect version of yourself, the powerful man that your woman chose to marry. By doing this, you are encouraging your partner to do the same.

  • Revisit: How to Fix A Fight When You've Gone Too Far

    Episode #205

Have you ever been in a heated argument with your partner?

In this episode, Doug and Tim discuss what to do after a heated argument with your partner and how to correct it.

One important thing to do first is to find out what triggered that situation to happen, or what triggered you to overreact.

In order to avoid overreacting, both parties must communicate clearly what they both want without feeling like a victim and without judgment.

Communicate out of love and respect because if you let your emotions and ego drive you during that situation, you will just end up hurting each other.

Take ownership & apologize for what happened and for overreacting. Tell your partner how you felt and what made you overreact and what you will do to rectify it.

  • Revisit: The Guilt & Shame of Working So Much

    Episode #204

As men, we tend to feel guilty when we have been missing out on moments with our loved ones due to working too much.

We ALSO feel guilty when we don’t feel like we’ve hit the vision of what we think we SHOULD be doing, especially, if what we’re doing is not serving us.

In this episode, we talk about how this feeling of guilt is caused by pressure from society. The demands that are placed on men by society turn them to work more and to be at work more. Men often fail to be present with their loved ones because they are working too much, resulting in a feeling of guilt and shame.

In order to change this, you need to have a self-check. If this is you, you may feel like you have lost your way and have been missing a lot of important things in your life.

Today, we teach you how to get back to what really matters to you and how to get rid of the things that aren’t serving you in order to clear yourself from guilt and shame.

  • Revisit: She Won't Leave

    Episode #203

Women nowadays don’t need a man to provide for them financially. They need someone who can provide for them emotionally, someone who is man enough for her to feel safe and secured. Someone who is present, who takes care of himself, and his health and knows how to step up.

As a man, we become very confident that our wife will never leave us since we think that providing financially is enough to make them stay.

We think that when we make more money, THAT is the time we will be able to enjoy life with our loved ones but we never feel like its enough, we always want to make more and as a result, we become slaves to our business.

In this episode, we talk about how providing is more than just giving money, it is emotionally also. If you want to have deep intimacy in your relationship then you need to prioritize it and make your business serve your life, not the other way around.

Women check out from the relationship because they feel that their partner left the relationship long before they do. Their husbands stopped becoming the man they married. The wife becomes a mother and the husband becomes a boy.

To keep the relationship it is important to become the man you know you are capable of becoming. Improve yourself, learn how to switch off from work, and be present in the relationship. Spend quality time with your wife, have good communication and you will become closer to each other.

  • Revisit: Are You Paying Attention to the Warning Signs?

    Episode #202

Most men have the belief that to provide for his family is to provide “financially”. So as a result, he hustles and grinds every day to earn money but eventually loses himself in the process and doesn’t have anything more to give when he gets home.

He’s physically there but emotionally absent. Women tend to notice immediately if their partner is not doing well in the relationship but men, most of the time, will only figure it out later.

Men typically figure out there is an issue in the relationship AFTER he has already pushed his partner far away, has made many broken promises and the trust is gone.

In this episode, we talk about how men should be proactive and pay attention to the warning signs so they can do something and make a change while it’s not too late.

Be aware of what’s going on around you. If you are being tested by your partners and they are giving you the warning signs, be grateful because you now have the opportunity to make amends. Once you recognize the warning signs, take ownership of what you do as a man, and take massive action.

If you ignore the warning signs, you will pay the price and will have an even tougher journey later on because you failed to make things right when you had the chance.
