In today's episode, I'm honored to speak with Todd Fordham, a former NFL lineman for the Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Pittsburg Steelers!  Thank you, Marcy Stoudt, for making today's conversation a possibility!!!! He spent four years at Florida State and would be one of their best offensive linemen to come through their university.  However, today is about Todd, the father.  

You will learn about Todd's close relationship with God, his love for his family and will share where his work ethic came from.  You will hear how Todd's father pushed him at a young age always to be his best!  As a farmer, Todd's dad always instituted a "blue-collar" mindset, which you have to love in any offensive linemen!  

You will learn about Todd's coaching philosophy which is always about the process and not the outcome, especially related to youth sports.  Towards the end of the episode, we go into a fun lightning round where Todd must answer some wacky questions from Casey!

Our next guest is a father, business leader, and overall great guy!  He is a big Minnesota sports fan who took an opportunity to live in Amsterdam for a few years as he works for Stryker, within their ENT division.  We enjoyed many laughs in reference to the great Chevy Chase movie, "European Vacation."  Mitch and his wife, Ellen, are raising 3 children ages 10, 8 & 3!  

In my conversation with Mitch, I loved the spontaneity of their family's journey to learn and embrace the Dutch culture and provide his kids with this life experience.  We talked in length about the challenges associated with comparing and also the value in embracing a curious mindset!   Mitch provided great insight at the end of our conversation in reminding us to be curious, find family time for each child, and always, Be Here Now!

In my conversation with Doug, you will hear how the power of vulnerability will help you build better relationships in life.  you will hear about how Doug's mom taught him the power of listening, as well as how Doug's father taught him about integrity, honor, and how writing a handwritten note will never go out of style.   Doug shares why putting your ego aside can help you grow!  One of my favorite things he said though was the reminder of just treating people with respect and being nice!

In today's episode, we go around the world to speak to my new friend, Paul Dodds, and understand how he is striving to become the ultimate QB of his household!    He is the host of the Insights into Success podcast, and also is the CEO of Making Sense of Markting.  Paul was the youngest of four kids growing up, and talks about the ups and downs of his life growing up!  He also shares his love for the All Blacks Rugby team which has the highest winning % of all time!

We talk about so many important topics in this episode for fathers of all ages, including the Power of apology, being present, and the differences between an emotional state and an intelligence state.   Paul drops great wisdom by sharing why we as dads, need to remind our kids how much we love them and accept them where they are!  Always, love our kids for who they are!

Thank you Andy Paul for introducing me to our next guest, Ian Koniak who had the strength and courage to talk about his journey of addiction.   As a father of two young boys, Ian shares his journey throughout a tough upbringing with his father.  He and his brother were raised with a very hard-working mom who loved them dearly.  Ian shares how his father battled addiction, but his life choices and health deteriorated too late in life for him to fix the damage that was done. 

This is an episode that is beyond powerful and filled with so much transparency, humility, and vulnerability.  You will hear how Ian is striving hard to stop the habit of addiction that has gone through his generations of men, which he is very focused on fixing. 

Ian shares his thoughts for us dads to be patient!  He advises us to ask for help when we need it.....don't be too big as we all need help!!!  Lastly, Ian shares that we as dads must work to model the hard work we are expecting from our kids.

Brian opens up to share where he struggled as a father and a powerful story of a tough conversation with his son, but I loved most about this because Brian owned it!  True vulnerability and humility at their best!
