We tend to think of yoga as just stretching and holding poses, but in truth, it’s so much more than that. I’m fairly new to yoga, having started practicing regularly back in January, but it really has helped me decrease my stress and increase my patience, in addition to other notable benefits.
But since I’m certainly not an expert on the subject, I have Harvard- and Yale-trained psychiatrist, therapist, and certified yoga teacher Dr. Marlynn Wei on the show today. Co-author of The Harvard Medical School Guide to Yoga: 8 Weeks to Strength, Awareness, and Flexibility, Marylnn has been featured in Cosmo, Shape, Harvard Health, and Huffington Post, and she joins the podcast to share the amazing effects of yoga. Listen in to learn how even practicing for mere minutes a few times a week could have a major positive impact on your life.
