The Raleigh Relays, the Stanford Invitational and the Bryan Clay Invitational have become mainstays in the NCAA distance running world as high-profile venues to run elite times in during the spring months.
However, historically, it's been the Payton Jordan Invitational, which is once again being hosted in Palo Alto, California this year, that generates marks that often headline the national leaderboard on annual basis.
And while this meet isn't quite as deep as those invitationals mentioned above, the distance fields at this Stanford-hosted meet are arguably just as top-heavy -- maybe even more so.
However, because the heat sheets for Payton Jordan were released so late, we simply didn't have enough time to craft a written preview. That's why I ultimately oped to put together a podcast preview that is roughly 40 minutes long. Luckily, we still have predictions on the site!
