THE HIGHEST VISION

The Struggle to Surrender

Listen Later

Today I had a good cry and it was equal parts relief to get the outcome I was hoping for and also frustration with myself because I keep finding myself holding on so tightly to the perfect outcome and worrying about things that never come to fruition despite knowing these habits are draining and depleting. Surrendering your dreams is an art, not a science and if you're struggling to let go, know you're not alone. You've likely been controlling, forcing and pushing a lot longer than letting go. There is so much beauty and peace in the act of surrendering, we just need to practice it like we do any new skill.

Today is Day 18 of 22 days of solo episodes where I'm challenging myself to go all in on being me and speaking my authentic truth daily. I've accomplished a lot in my life personally and professionally, but I still find myself wanting to master the art of being me. I decided to have some fun on the journey by sharing whatever is on my heart and mind that day.
