January 22, 2026Without proper connection at home male offspring will gravitate toward the wrong path. Without proper connection at home male offspring will gravitate toward the wrong path. This happens in homes where the fathers are lawyers, doctors, truckers or business owners and anything in between. The main missing piece is the actual fathering. Teaching, coaching, conversating, spending quality time, showing interest, showing compassion, modelling healthy life practices. Without that and in an environment where the distractions, negative habits and bad influences are rampant โ a destructive path and a life fallen by the wayside is rather inevitable. October 07, 2025The Psychology of a Punjabi Father. From age 0-10 I saw my father in 5 minute increments. He was always rushing to return to work - he was defined by being the provider whilst navigating the complexities of being a very much ethnic minority in a small town. During my adolescence and once we moved to Surrey we developed a rapport fused by our similar sense of humour but we were still careful to dance around one another's triggers - triggers unrelated to each other but still at the same time very much mutual. Nearing marital age and as life's transitions weighed on - loss, big changes and most of all - now my father had no more intense busyness to run to..we began to have sporadic real conversations and interactions not just the surface level banter that felt safer before. But then with the wisdom of age and as he slowly began to be more and more where his feet were it was time for me to leave for my next journey and chapter in life for a while โฆ But some how we find ourselves having come full circle with my own things to sometimes run from and tremendous work to immerse myself into but now it's him tapping on my shoulder saying hey sit for a while. So here we are.. capturing a moment and some thoughts through the simplicity of just sitting and talking..sitting and talking. #punjabitiktok #browntiktok...more13minPlay
