  • Barcelona stun Atletico and can PSG win the treble?

Jimbo’s got Julien Laurens, Rory Smith, Seb Stafford-Bloor and Pol Ballús in tow to put all the action from across the continent under the microscope.

It’s advantage Inter in Serie A as the Nerazzurri moved three points clear at the top of the table thanks to their 2-0 win over title rivals Atalanta. Napoli lost ground after being held to their seventh draw of the season by lowly Venezia in a game they somehow failed to score in.

In La Liga, Barcelona came from two goals down to stun Atléti 4-2 and regain top spot, after Kylian Mbappé’s brace in their 2-1 win at Villarreal. Plenty are still reeling in the red and white side of Madrid after THAT Champions League exit…

Over in France, PSG celebrated their Champions League heroics by extending their lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table to a whopping 19 points after their 3-1 win vs Marseille.

And in the Bundesliga, Laterkusen returned in their dramatic 4-3 win at Stuttgart, while Bayern were held by Union Berlin which means their advantage at the top is cut to six points.

    Produced by Lucy Oliva.

Jimbo has Daniel Storey, Tim Spiers and Jay Harris for company on a historic weekend of football.

Chris Waugh also joins us from Wembley after Newcastle finally win their first domestic trophy in 70 years, upsetting Premier League leaders Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final. All hail Eddie Howe and the job he’s done at St James’s Park. But did Arne Slot get it wrong on Sunday? And where was Mo Salah?

It’s a good weekend for Arsenal and Nottingham Forest in terms of securing their top 5 place while Man City are pegged back twice by Brighton. But it’s another miserable afternoon for Spurs at Fulham and a record-breaking evening for Leicester against Man United.

Plus there’s points and pints for Vitor Pereira and thoughts on Thomas Tuchel’s surprising first England squad.

  • Real Madrid & PSG progress on pens - now time for Liverpool v Newcastle at Wembley

Jimbo welcomes Michael Cox, Duncan Alexander and Tom Williams into the studio with high-stakes drama everywhere you look.

Real Madrid break Atletico hearts again on penalties in the Champions League, with all the post-match discussion centred on Julian Alvarez’s double-touch penalty disallowed by VAR.

PSG are also victorious on penalties at Anfield. Hear about the heroics of Vitinha and Donnurumma, plus why PSG can take advantage of other teams’ exhaustion. Or will Marco Asensio come back to bite them in the next round?

Next up for Liverpool, the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle at Wembley on Sunday. George Caulkin makes the case for Eddie Howe’s Magpies to finally end the club’s trophy drought.

In the Premier League, there’s Ruud van Nistelrooy in the dug-out yet again for Leicester v Man United, as well as Arsenal v Chelsea and Man City v Brighton.

Plus so-called journalists, pigs in alleys and being out for the rest of the season

    Produced by Charlie Jones.

  • Atleti and Real go again in Madrid derby as Bayern, Bayer and Dortmund all lose

Jimbo’s joined by Julien Laurens, Pol Ballús and Seb Stafford-Bloor for a deep-dive into domestic and European matters across the continent.

Last week’s Champions League first legs left some results more conclusive than others… we’re looking at you, PSV 1-7 Arsenal! But there’s still plenty of intrigue with the ties between Liverpool and PSG, Real and Atleti and Barca and Benfica finely poised.

In La Liga, Real warmed up for their trip across the capital with a 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano, while Atleti were on the wrong end of that scoreline in a dramatic late defeat at Girona. Meanwhile Barcelona’s game with Osasuna was postponed just 20 minutes before kick-off following the sudden death of first team doctor Carles Miñarro Garcia.

In Ligue 1, PSG’s B-team made light work of Rennes to move 16 points clear at the top of the table - while Paulo Fonseca began his nine month (!) touchline ban as he watched his side beat Nice 2-0 from the stands to put themselves right in the mix for European football next season.

Max Callegari - host of Pressing on Canale 5 - joins us to run the rule over all the Serie A action, which included humiliation for Juve, a first win in six for Napoli and spookily similar comebacks for Milan and Inter.

And in the Bundesliga, there was history as for the first time in nearly 20 years Bayern, Leverkusen and Dortmund all lost on the same matchday.

    Produced by Lucy Oliva.

    RUNNING ORDER:

    • PART 1: Moments of the weekend and Champions League teases (00.40)

    • PART 5: Bundesliga review - big boys all beaten as Bayer, Bayern and Dortmund lose (45.30)

  • Man United frustrate Arsenal again while Forest formula foils Man City

Jimbo is joined in the studio by Daniel Storey, Tim Spiers and Adrian Clarke as the race for Champions League football hots up.

Arsenal can only draw at Old Trafford, allowing Liverpool’s lead to extend to 15 points. With goals still proving an issue outside of Eindhoven, could their place in the top 5 be under threat?

The same question has to be asked of Man City who lose to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. How did Pep get Nuno’d again?

Maybe the game of the weekend is at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as an impressive Bournemouth somehow only draw after taking a 2-0 lead. Would Andoni Iraola ever consider taking the Spurs job?

Plus where it’s going wrong for Cole Palmer and why it’s going right for Crystal Palace.

    Produced by Charlie Jones.

    RUNNING ORDER:

    • PART 1a: Man United 1-1 Arsenal (04.30)

  • Liverpool pick PSG’s pockets, as Arsenal hit seven ahead of Old Trafford trip

Jimbo is in the studio with Duncan Alexander, Natalie Gedra and Charlie Eccleshare after a mind-blowing Champions League midweek.

PSG dominate Liverpool and have all the shots but lose 1-0 thanks to an inspired performance from Alisson. Julien Laurens ponders whether this young team can go to Anfield and outplay the Reds again.

Art De Roche was in Eindhoven to see Arsenal secure a scarcely believable 7-1 win over PSV. Where did that come from and could we see it again at Old Trafford on Sunday?

Elsewhere, there are sensational goals at the Bernabeu as Real hold a narrow advantage over Atletico, while it’s a nightmare night for Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen against Kane and Kompany’s Bayern.

The Premier League weekend sees Forest host Man City in a big game for the top 4/5 race. Will Nuno be as happy as he was on Monday night?

Plus Raphinha, reverse scorpions and which managers could still play for their clubs?

    Produced by Charlie Jones.

  • PSG well prepared for Liverpool but Real lose again ahead of Madrid derby

Joining Jimbo are Julien Laurens, Michael Cox, Pol Ballus and Seb Stafford-Bloor ahead of a mouthwatering midweek in the Champions League.

PSG versus Liverpool might be the tie of the round as two of the continent’s in-form teams clash. Are Luis Enrique’s side finally ready to banish the ghosts of previous knock-out defeats?

Real and Atletico meet in a Champions League Madrid derby, with Real slipping to 3rd in the Liga title race after defeat at Betis.

Bayern and Leverkusen also clash. Despite the 8 point lead held by the Bavarians in the Bundesliga, is Xabi Alonso favourite to get the better of Vincent Kompany?

It’s a big week for PSV and Robin van Persie’s Feyenoord. Michiel Jongsma has more.

Plus what Napoli’s draw with Inter said about Serie A and Paulo Fonseca’s extraordinary red card for Lyon.

    Produced by Charlie Jones.

  • Fulham and Brighton knock Man United and Newcastle out of the FA Cup

Jimbo has Daniel Storey, Duncan Alexander and Matt Davies-Adams for company after an FA Cup 5th round weekend that has a bit of everything.

Holders Man United are knocked out on penalties at Old Trafford as their deficiencies are laid bare again. But for Fulham, could Marco Silva be about to earn some tangible reward for the phenomenal job he’s done?

Earlier on Sunday, Brighton are victorious at Newcastle after extra-time. It’s a truly costly afternoon for the Magpies as they lose Anthony Gordon and perhaps more players ahead of the Carabao Cup final.

Palace progress past Millwall but all the talk is dominated by the horror challenge on striker Jean-Philippe Mateta. Similarly, Bournemouth’s win over Wolves sees plenty of discussion about the 8 minute VAR delay and the extent to which Matheus Cunha has just let Wolves down.

Plus Lampard’s Sky Blues, and IFAB’s new law on goalkeeper time-wasting.

    Produced by Charlie Jones.

    RUNNING ORDER:

    • PART 1: Fulham beat Man Utd on penalties, with Carl Anka and Elizabeth Barnard (06.00)

  • Liverpool’s huge lead, Man United’s controversial cuts & FA Cup 5th round weekend

Jimbo is joined in the studio by Duncan Alexander, Benji Lanyado and Matt Davies-Adams after a Premier League midweek and ahead of FA Cup 5th round weekend.

Liverpool extend their lead at the top of the table to 13 points with a routine win over Newcastle. What records are in sight for Salah and the Reds?

The most impressive display of the week comes from Crystal Palace who hammer Villa 4-1, leaving our panel purring over the performance of Adam Wharton. And asking if Robin Olsen should have let children use his goal at half-time.

Manchester United claim most of the headlines off the pitch this week with INEOS making big cuts to the staff and the canteen.

And we ask could we be about to see a brand new name on the FA Cup trophy in May?

Plus the most handsome player in the Premier League and the invention of points.

    Produced by Charlie Jones.

  • Cesc’s Como shock Conte’s Napoli, while intriguing last 16 ties await

Jimbo’s got Julien Laurens, Seb Stafford-Bloor, Rory Smith and Pol Ballús alongside him for all the latest continental chatter.

Friday afternoon’s Champions League draw presented some fascinating match-ups including Real v Atleti, Bayern v Bayer and PSG v Liverpool. We’ve got a closer look at all those ties with the round of 16 looming…

In La Liga, it was a rare weekend where all three title challengers registered three fairly comfortable wins! It leaves Barca and Real locked on 54 points at the top, with Atleti just a point behind.

Over in France there was plenty of drama on and off the pitch - with cowboy hats, calls of corruption and meltdowns caught on CCTV. But away from all that, the table shows that PSG have extended their lead at the top to 13 points after their 3-2 victory at Lyon.

Speaking of corruption - Slovenian ref Slavko Vincic was parachuted in to referee the Istanbul derby after a season marred by controversial officiating and allegations of foulplay. It was a rather eventful evening as Galatasaray said they would "initiate criminal proceedings" against Fenerbahce manager Jose Mourinho after claiming he made "racist statements" following the teams' 0-0 draw.

For a closer look at Serie A we’re joined by Sky Italia’s Filippo Benincampi - as Cesc’s Como got the better of Conte’s Napoli to cost them top spot, Inter taking full advantage with their 1-0 win over Genoa.

And in the Bundesliga, there were finally signs of life for Dortmund as Niko Kovac picked up his first league win courtesy of a four-goal haul from Serhou Guirassy, aided by super sub and Chelsea loanee Carney Chukwuemeka.

    Produced by Lucy Oliva.

    RUNNING ORDER:

    • PART 1: Moments of the weekend and Champions League round of 16 teases (00.40)

    • PART 2: La Liga review - the big three all win while Antony sees red (07.15)

    • PART 3: Ligue 1 review - chaos off and on the pitch for Lyon v PSG and Auxerre v Marseille (19.00)

    • PART 4: Galatasaray 0-0 Fenerbahce fallout (35.00)

    • PART 5: Serie A review - Napoli feel the pressure, plus could Gasperini and Atalanta’s love affair be coming to an end? (43.25)

    • PART 5: Bundesliga review - Dortmund finally show signs of life with Bayer v Bayern on the horizon (57.00)
