The Triple Option

The best way to figure out what's coming next is to go back to the start.

Urban Meyer and Rob Stone take you through the different eras of NCAA enforcement, Urban's role in changing the game, and how the newly formed College Sports Commission will be different...or will it? Regardless, don't accept any cookies from Shelley.

The past two seasons a veteran team from the Big Ten won the College Football Playoff National Championship, is it Penn State's turn? Head Coach James Franklin joins the show to talk about his loaded team, the future of the sport, and more. #WeAre

There are no games yet, but recruiting is in full swing and the Big Ten has three of the top five classes for 2026, have they passed the SEC? The guys then take a look at Florida's chances this season with a very optimistic Urban Meyer seeing good things for his former school behind Billy Napier and DJ Lagway.

Student athletes can now be paid by their school, former athletes will get backpay, NIL deals will be subject to approval, and more. Let Urban Meyer, Mark Ingram II, and Rob Stone guide you into the new landscape of college athletics after the House Settlement. Big 12 Commissioner Brett Yormark, one of the people behind these changes and the future of college sports joined to talk through the ins and outs of how college sports are in a better place today than they were last week. He also makes his pitch for a reworked College Football Playoff system.

The ballot for the 2026 College Football Hall of Fame was released, including Percy Harvin, Aaron Donald, Marvin Harrison, Chris Petersen, Jonathan Vilma, Ndamukong Suh, and...MARK INGRAM II. The guys then look into the BetMGM Crystal Ball and make a way too early prediction for the LSU Tigers.

What defines a hero? We take a crack at it today.

With NFL rookies reporting for camp, Mark takes a look back at his first spring in New Orleans and it wasn't exactly normal #WhoDat.

Urban, Mark, and Rob then attempt to define what is a hero with a man deserving of the title - retired Navy Seal Mike "Boots" Barker as they discuss leadership, how to build a team you can count on, the weight of sacrifice, as well as a couple missions he CAN discuss...well, kind of.

Georgia lost 13 players to the NFL and Carson Becht transferred to Miami. Can Kirby and company find their way into the College Football Playoff once again? The guys take a look into the BetMGM Crystal Ball and debate the 9.5 win total.  Finally, school is out for summer, the guys get into some of their summer adventures.

Some things are bigger than football.

Urban, Mark & Rob reflect on what Memorial Day means to them and how they honor those that served.

Want some job interview advice? New England Patriots Head Coach Mike Vrabel might not be the guy to go to. He and Urban look back at their time together in Columbus, the Patriot Way, and how coaching the new generation of college athlete is different than just five years ago.

The Fighting Illini hit 10 wins for just the fifth time in school history, so what do they do? Write Bret Bielema a fat check of course. Urban reflects on why Bielema is built for the Big Ten and why Illinois fans should be excited about the future. The guys then take a look at one of the most talented teams heading into the 2025 season: Clemson football with "The Crystal Ball".

What is love? For some, it certainly doesn't seem like it's football.

Urban, Mark & Rob go deep into the conversation of players & coaches true love for the game; specifically, how NIL & the transfer portal has shifted the mindset of college football players, even as they prepare to go pro. Urban peels back the curtain on what to look for when truly evaluating a player's hunger for success, while Mark explains that it's genuine passion that gets you to the ultimate goal.

Then, new (or old?) West Virginia Head Coach Rich Rodriguez joins the guys to talk about his return to Morgantown, his championship expectations & somewhat familiar life in the Big 12. Oh yeah, and keep that TikTok mess out of the locker room!

Finally, we take a look into the crystal ball & break down Notre Dames 2025 schedule. Can the Irish repeat their previous season's success & make another National Championship run, or will their #CFBPlayoff hopes be slashed before they even begin? 10.5 wins is alot!

Is two games enough? Michigan is about to find out.

Urban Meyer and Rob Stone react to Michigan suspending head coach Sherrone Moore for the third and fourth game of the 2025 season in an effort to show the NCAA they take the sign stealing scandal from 2023 seriously. In the end, where does the blame lie? Coach Meyer's answer may shock you. (1:16)

Year one in Chapel Hill for Bill Belichick has mainly produced storylines off the field. Coach and Rob discuss the distractions at UNC around Belichick's girlfriend Jordon Hudson and if the media is blowing it out of proportion. (21:00)

Finally, the guys take a look into the BetMGM Crystal Ball and predict what Vols fans can expect from a Nico-less Tennessee squad. Coach gives his advice for when the new QB should be named after overseeing many a quarterback battle. (32:00)
