  • What is Girl Code and Kelechi and Candice vs Clemmie Hooper

Would you ever date a friend's ex? How do you tell your best friend that she's wrong? Are you your friend's biggest cheerleaders? On this week's episode, Leanne, Liv and Shan discuss the  unwritten rules of girl code, what girl code actually means to them and whether there are any times where it is acceptable to cross the line.

In this week's Dope Black chat, the ladies discuss the recent controversy in the Mummy Blogger community between Clemmie Hooper, Kelechi and Candice Brathwaithe. It came out the other week that Clemmie had been trolling fellow Mummy bloggers and leaving racist abuse on Candice's page. As a result of Kelechi calling this out, her Instagram account was taken down. To deal with bullies Clemmie became a bully and silenced black women in the process. Together the women discuss this issue, what consequences they think Clemmie should face and what more platforms like Instagram should be doing instead of silencing black voices.

  • The Dope Black Music Playlist

Music is so prominent in black culture and brings us all together at the happiest times of our lives, but also the most difficult times. In this episode Leanne, Liv and Shan share their picks for the Dope Black playlist - from songs that make them feel empowered, to songs that represent a significant moment in their lives to songs that people would be surprised that they like (there are some real wildcards in there).

They also dive into hip hop feminism. With the rise of black female MC's in hip hop, reclaiming the narrative and owning their sexuality, our Dope Black Women as the question: 'can hip hop ever be feminist?'

  • What's the Wildest Place You've Ever Had Sex?

Have you ever had sex in your car? In the sea? Or even at work? We all have crazy sex stories, ex's that we would rather forget, some some that we will never forget and the ladies bare all in this week's episode. They talk about what sex means to them, their non-negotiables, and why so many women don't orgasm! It’s important to normalise the topic of sex, especially with black women, so we are bringing together three professional women who are here to discuss sex openly and freely. It’s ok to identify with being sexual beings that have needs and desires, and we’re going to talk about what this means to us. From being a freak in the sheets to being spiritual and reading books - we can do it all!
