We feel fortunate whenever we have the opportunity to sit down with Dr. Scott Hadland, a pediatrician and head of adolescent medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. Dr. Scott is a teen addiction specialist whose clinical and research interests focus on preventing and treating drug and alcohol use. This episode focuses on the very real and alarming world of fentanyl. Every parent, guardian, caregiver, friend, and relative should listen to this episode and have a conversation with the young people in their lives. One single conversation may not make it stick; it may take seven, eight, or nine times for the message to sink in. The Beaver

With Mother’s Day around the corner we thought it would be fun to bring back one of your favourite episodes with Spencer and her mom Robyn Barbosa. Spencer is a vibrant, resilient and inspirational young woman that our daughters (and many other young girls!) look up to. She shared her confidence struggles while growing up and how she shifted her mindset from the negativity directed at her. Spencer's main goal in using her social media platforms today is to make other young girls feel confident in their own skin. Handling Rejection and Gaining Confidence with Spencer & Robyn Barbosa

This week, we discussed our summer hopes and plans. As our kids are getting older, they aren't as carefree. They need to be entertained, and that responsibility falls on us. Unfortunately, it's a situation we created because we are so darn fun to hang out with. But, when one of our kids came to us and said they wanted to go to camp, it triggered some anxiety. It's not that it's better for them to be home; it's really hard to let them go!
