What are numbers ? When was zero invented? And how does a man end up calculating pi on the moon? Joe and Tom speak to stand-up mathematician, Matt Parker, who explores the weird and wonderful world of maths. He explains how he was voluntarily bitten by a bullet out in the name of numbers and helps us understand why kids think maths is boring. This episode will show you, that it really isn't.
Plus he's taking us to the moon! Sort of.
Love Triangle: The Life-changing Magic of Trigonometry by Matt Parker is now available in paperback.

In this classic episode, archaeologist Raksha Dave takes Joe and Tom deep into the fascinating world of archaeology, which, to Joe's dismay, has nothing to do with dinosaurs. With experience excavating sites across the globe, Raksha answers our burning questions about Tutankhamun, car park discoveries, the science of "garbology," and what to do if you stumble across an ancient artefact in your garden.
Plus, Joe faces the crushing truth that the lost city of Atlantis never existed (probably).

Our guest today is Scott, who is an Air Ambulance and A&E Consultant. He tells us about some of the procedures he's been called out to, from grazed knees to lost limbs! We ask if he actually treats people in the air, is he ever scared of crashing and why do people prevent the helicopter from landing?

In this classic episode, Joe and Tom take a deep and sometimes dark dive into the world of clowns with Jon – a clown, and a clown teacher.
You might be expecting squirting flowers, red noses and big trousers. But join Joe on his moving journey to realising he is in fact a real-life clown.

Enyi is potentially the coolest conductor we've ever seen. Which isn't a huge compliment, because we've not seen many. But he is very cool, and he is a conductor (the music type, not the train type).
He teaches us about the various swish and flick motions he uses to direct the audience, how he chooses his baton and who are the biggest egos in an orchestra. And it seems like Joe, is a natural at conducting?!

Martha joins Joe and Tom to settle a very serious debate. What is the ultimate gardening tool? All while Joe tries very hard not to laugh at the word “hoe.”
Martha shares her top tips for small-space gardening and she reveals which plants in your garden might actually kill you… assuming Joe hasn’t already hacked them to bits with a pair of shears.

This episode is bonkers. Joe and Tom meet former ecstasy trafficker Shaun Attwood to talk about his extraordinary life story. Shaun is banned from America for life, and was facing 200 years in prison for his crimes. He tells us how he created his drugs empire, about his rivalry with Sammy “the Bull” Gravano, his dealings with the Mexican Mafia and why most of his “co-defendants” are now dead.
