Welcome to episode #758 of Six Pixels of Separation.
Here it is: Six Pixels of Separation - Episode #758 - Host: Mitch Joel. She has an incredible work ethic. That was one (of the many) takeaway from this episode. Lisa McLeod is a strategy consultant, executive coach, and keynote speaker who has worked with some of the coolest companies on the planet. Lisa is the author of five books, including the global bestseller, Selling With Noble Purpose - How to Drive Revenue and Do Work That Makes You Proud, which she just updated and released recently. She wrote the book because her research revealed that salespeople with a purpose bigger than money, who truly want to make a difference to their customers, outsell salespeople focused on targets and quotas. Her other books include, Leading with Noble Purpose and The Triangle of Truth. If that were not enough she is one of LinkedIn Learning's most popular instructors, delivering over 25 courses, including Selling with Authenticity and Finding Your Purpose at Work. Prior to all of this excitement, Lisa was a sales leader at Procter & Gamble, and later at Vital Learning as VP of Sales, where their team doubled new business growth and increased recurring revenue by 50%. In addition to her business books, she also authored a collection of humor essays that was featured on Oprah.com, and her first book, Forget Perfect, was the subject of a segment on Good Morning America. Here it is: Six Pixels of Separation - Episode #757 - Host: Mitch Joel. Erich Joachimsthaler, is a rare combination of consultant, author, entrepreneur, academic, and researcher who sheds light on massive branding, marketing, and digital transformations. A man after my own heart. He has authored several books and hundreds of articles. He is both the founder & CEO of Vivaldi and a visiting professor and lecturer at several universities around the world. His latest book, The Interaction Field, decodes the emergence of a new business model of the same name. Erich predicts that successful companies will shift from transactional business models to an interactional model. This new model goes further than solely extracting value for the benefit of investors or shareholders, it creates value for all participants engaged in the Interaction Field, as well as society at large. Prior to writing The Interaction Field, Erich also authored Brand Leadership and Hidden In Plain Sight. Enjoy the conversation...

Here it is: Six Pixels of Separation - Episode #756 - Host: Mitch Joel. The past is something that we easily forget. Before the pandemic, many looked at the disastrous rise and fall of WeWork. So much so, that journalist, Reeves Wiedeman, decided to use the WeWork story as the topic for his debut book, Billion Dollar Loser - The Epic Rise and Spectacular Fall of Adam Neumann and We Work. It's a pulsating and page-turning book (much like the incredible book written about Theranos - Bad Blood by John Carreyrou). Now, many are left wondering if WeWork will have a very unique (and critical) roll in what the future of work might look like? Can WeWork erase its past? Will it always be remembered as a disaster? Or, has the pandemic given them a runway that could turn this story around? Either way, the story of WeWork is simply jaw-dropping. The amount of money invested in the business, the players behind the scenes, the desire for power, and so much more. Reeves is a Contributing Editor at New York magazine. He has written for The New Yorker, The New York Times Magazine, Rolling Stone, Harper's, and other publications. Billion Dollar Loser is his first book. Enjoy the conversation...

Welcome to episode #754 of Six Pixels of Separation.
Here it is: Six Pixels of Separation - Episode #754 - Host: Mitch Joel. There is no doubt that when it comes to writing business books on the creative process and how it flows in business today, Todd Henry is the gold standard. He bills himself as "an arms dealer for the creative revolution," and that's just one of his creative ways to describe what he really does. With his latest book, The Motivation Code - Discover the Hidden Forces That Drive Your Best Work, Todd has teamed up with three other co-authors, dug deep into the research, and is presenting a new perspective on what it takes to really get things done (there's an assessment and more, as well). His first book, The Accidental Creative (also the name of his incredible podcast) was followed by Die Empty (one of the best business book titles ever!), then came, Louder Than Words, which was followed by Herding Tigers. Todd sees The Motivation Code as a shift in direction and his focus. So, if you're curious to learn more about what drives... and what drives everyone around you, you do not want to miss this. Welcome to episode #752 of Six Pixels of Separation.
Here it is: Six Pixels of Separation - Episode #752 - Host: Mitch Joel. First, a mea culpa: I had to record the audio for this episode over Zoom. There was a glitch with my usual software (it kept crashing), so I am hopeful that you will stick with this content, because it's important… and it matters. Who wrote the book on sales? Jeffrey Gitomer wrote the book on sales. Whether it's The Sales Bible or The Little Red Book Of Selling, there are few who have transformed the profession of sales like Jeffrey has. Over the years, he's become a mentor and a friend. While being locked up, we decided to jam on the state of sales and much, much more. Jeffrey isn't shy. When your title includes the word "king," you'd better be the global leader at what you do. No throne necessary: With just a briefcase, a MacBook Pro, a prospective customer, and a well-prepared presentation, Jeffrey has earned the crown as the King of Sales. Couple that with 40 years of hand-to-hand, face-to-face, tweet-to-tweet experience, and you have the criteria of what it takes to be called "the king." His books include: Get Sh*t Done, Jeffrey Gitomer's Sales Manifesto, 21.5 Unbreakable Laws of Selling, and his massive "Little Book" series that includes topics like happiness, success, trust, networking, leadership, and more. His latest book is Go Live - Turn Virtual Connections Into Paying Customers. There's just so much more to his universe (courses, training, podcasts, and more). Looking for motivation? Looking to grow your customer base? Look no further. Enjoy the conversation...
Welcome to episode #751 of Six Pixels of Separation.
Here it is: Six Pixels of Separation - Episode #751 - Host: Mitch Joel. I have been a fan of Dan Pontefract for many years. We first met when he was working at the national Canadian telecommunications and media company, TELUS, as their Chief Envisioner and Chief Learning Officer. Dan has always been more than that. Now, he's a leadership strategist, keynote speaker, and bestselling author. His books are: Open To Think, The Purpose Effect, Flat Army, and his latest: Lead. Care. Win. Dan's work is focused on making leaders better, and with that it's a mission to change the world of work. His latest thinking will help you become a more caring and engaging leader, one that will fully (and completely) understand the critical importance of crafting meaningful, respectful relationships among all your stakeholders. The bottom line is that when you care enough to champion others, the workplace becomes happily infectious and the organization benefits in more ways than one. It's time to care (now, more than ever). Full potential is possible. Enjoy the conversation...
Welcome to episode #750 of Six Pixels of Separation.
Here it is: Six Pixels of Separation - Episode #750 - Host: Mitch Joel. With a book titled, Uncharted - How to Map the Future Together, you would think that Dr. Margaret Heffernan is a futurist as well. Margaret produced shows for the BBC for over thirteen years. She then moved to the US, where she spearheaded multimedia productions for Intuit, The Learning Company and Standard & Poors. She was Chief Executive of InfoMation Corporation, ZineZone Corporation and then iCast Corporation. All of this earned her a spot as one of the "Top 100 Media Executives" in The Hollywood Reporter. She is the author of six books. Her third book, Willful Blindness - Why We Ignore the Obvious at our Peril, was named one of the most important business books of the decade by the Financial Times. Her TED talks have been seen by over twelve million people, and in 2015 TED published Beyond Measure - The Big Impact of Small Changes. She is a Professor of Practice at the University of Bath, Lead Faculty for the Forward Institute's Responsible Leadership Programe and, through Merryck & Co., mentors CEOs and senior executives of major global organizations. She holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Bath. So, how do people and businesses grow, explore and innovate while being undaunted by uncertainty? Listen in. Enjoy the conversation...
