Julian de Stoop speaks to a man that had one of modern footy's most remarkable journeys, James Podsiadly. Initially drafted as rookie by Essendon in 1999, the key forward has to wait until 2010 at 28 years of age to make his AFL debut for Geelong. In between he was rejected by numerous AFL clubs and dominated for Werribee in the VFL. Podsiadly's fairytale was complete when he was part of Geelong's 2011 premiership side. The J-Pod, as he was known moved to Adelaide in 2014 before retiring at the end of 2015.
