The Netball Super League 2026 is underway and, with her sights set on reaching the Grand Final at the Co-op Live in June, AO Manchester Thunder Head Coach Karen Greig talks to Lindsey Chapman about pre-season prep, player updates and her aims for the regular rounds.
Reflecting on the first few games, Karen is keen to keep building connections and admits that these things take time. No opponent in the league can be underestimated and, as she continues to ask more of Thunder, growth and development are key.
2026 is Greig’s 10th year as Head Coach of AO Manchester Thunder and her 25th year with the club. A moment of reflection allows her to look back at the history of the club as well as focusing on the future, including the big double header at M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Saturday 9th May – get your tickets now https://www.thundernetball.co.uk/tickets/
LexisNexis Dragons have proved themselves a forced to be reckoned with this season and, ahead of their clash with Thunder, Aussie defender Jacqui Newton chats to Lindsey about Dragons’ ethos and dreams for the league this year.
Crediting the partnerships around her, along with a refreshed shooting end that includes long bomb queen Niamh McCall, Dragons are determined to bring Welsh fire to the competition. Jacqui also shares the Aussie influences she’s brought to Cardiff including the word ‘bogan’ which intrigues Lindsey!
