Roberto and Roelof met through a Titanic Facebook Group - love finds itself in the strangest, and for Titaniacs, the best places.

They tell Nelson and Alexandra of their shared passion for James Cameron's film as well as the history of the tragedy that befell the ship in April 1912 which  brought them together in a romance that has lasted 8+ years and still going strong.

Rebecca kept a diary during her many months on the set on James Cameron's Titanic and reads some of her writing for Nelson and Alexandra. She talks about her experiences working with James Cameron and what he was like as a director and also working with Simon Crane, the stunt co-ordinator on the film.

In this episode, Nelson and Alexandra's special guest is the author Simon Medhurst. He is also the great grandson of Quartermaster Robert Hitchens who famously was at the helm when Titanic hit the iceberg. He's portrayed by Paul Brightwell in James Cameron's film.

Simon tells of not learning about his Titanic heritage until middle age. He did not know his direct connection to Titanic until he was 45 despite being fascinated by Titanic long before the 1997 film and talks about a whole line of his family that would not be here if he had not survived.

Simon has written a very poignant and moving book called
TITANIC DAY BY DAY | 366 Days With The Titanic ~ it can be found on Amazon and in all good book stores.

Judy Prestininzi and Ellen H Mower O'Brien met on the set of Titanic when they became part of the core background players in James Cameron's Titanic in 1996. Thus began a twenty-five year friendship. They are also featured in the documentary SHIP OF DREAMS: TITANIC MOVIE DIARIES.

They talk with Nelson and Alexandra about life on that infamous set - they were there in the tank, they were part of the 'Ninety Degree Club' strapped to the tilted poop deck and danced in the third class dancing scenes at the 'real' party. They tell all those stories and more in this episode of TITANIC TALK.

He's a successful tour operator in Hawaii and real estate agent in Florida now but back in 1996, at the tender age of 21, Gary DeLellis was the stand in on the Titanic set for Leonardo Di Caprio.

For 8 months, Gary stood in Leo's place while they set the camera and lights.

You can imagine he has some stories to tell.

Nelson and Alexandra could have chatted all day hearing behind the scenes anecdotes from twenty five years ago and the adventures Gary had on that amazing set in Rosarito Beach, Mexico.

Alexandra and Nelson chat with Dale and Ilka, two self confessed Titaniacs who met on Instagram after she was inspired to recreate The Jump Dress, one of Kate Winslet's iconic dresses in TITANIC.

Dale had created a miniature, Barbie-sized version of the dress  - and many other of Rose's costumes in the film - so he coached her to not only sew on every bead and sequin but over the course of a year to make the whole dress.

Hear this story and many more on how Titanic connects Dale, Ilka and Alexandra and her best friend from college.

Dale and Ilka also feature in Alexandra's new documentary Ship of Dreams: Titanic Movie Diaries showing their beautiful work and sharing their passion for James Cameron's Titanic and the history of Edwardian costumes and the ship herself.

James Lancaster originally auditioned for Thomas Andrews, Titanic's architect but in the end James Cameron cast him as Father Byles, the priest who recites from the Book of Revelations in the final moments before the ship sank.
James reads from the diary he wrote twenty five years ago. A moving account of filming in Rosarito, Mexico on the tilted poop deck. It's the very same passage he'd read for his father's funeral only a week before.

A native Floridian, author and Titanic historian William Brower’s passion for History, Mythology and Literature have led audiences through mystical lands where beasts of legend roam all the way to the moment of terror on board the decks of the sinking Titanic.

It's his deep connection to Titanic and his knowledge for the ship's story and her passengers that led Nelson and Alexandra to invite him to talk about his passion for Titanic on TITANIC TALK.

William tells of his involvement in a short film about Harold Bride and the Marconi room on Titanic called THE LAST SIGNALS and his many books, screenplays and speaking engagements all over the world. His involvement within the Titanic community led his appointment as the first U.S. Ambassador to the Titanic Heritage Trust in 2013.

One of his first scripts produced includes interviews with survivors of the Titanic and members of the dive teams who piloted submersibles on the decks of the legendary liner and gave birth to his touring museum and one man performance Titanic: The Legacy Remains.

Liam Tuohy was cast as the Chief Baker Joughin by James Cameron in his epic film TITANIC in 1996. Liam regales Nelson and Alexandra with tales from the set, how a family heirloom made it into the final cut and reads from his Titanic Diary that is also featured in Alexandra's documentary ~ Ship of Dreams: Titanic Movie Diaries.
