Steven Schwankert lived in China for twenty five years and was shocked to learn that no-one knew there were six Chinese survivors of the Titanic sinking. With renown documentarian Arthur Jones, he set out to tell their story in his documentary THE SIX .
Through meticulous research, searching for descendants and recreating the possible experiences of what might have happened that night, they go on an as yet untold journey of discovery. A fascinating and educational film to say the least and a Must Watch for all our listeners.

Steven also has his own podcast - he's back home in New Jersey and his stories follow the New Jersey-linked passengers on Titanic - he's up to 60 as of this publication!

Kris Andersson worked with choreographer Lynne Hockney on a film before she was looking for dancers to help her on James Cameron's Titanic. Kris was hired for the dance team and learnt traditional folk dances for Lynne to show James Cameron. But he ended up in Mexico with the rest of the dancers teaching Titanic's Third Class 'passengers' their steps and on one very special occasion twirled Kate Winslet in his arms for a morning when he doubled for Leonardo Di Caprio.

Like many of the actors featured in Alexandra's Ship of Dreams: Titanic Movie Diaries, Kris's unique perspective and his unforgettable experiences on the set of Titanic add more stories to those you have never heard before.

Joshua Noble came to us via the wonderful Titanic community that has grown, widened and deepened since Alexandra made her feature documentary SHIP OF DREAMS: Titanic Movie Diaries to co-ordinate with the 25th anniversary celebrations of James Cameron's Titanic.

And since co-hosting Titanic Talk with Nelson Aspen - a podcast that started as a way to promote the film but now stands on its own as a place to delve further into the stories of Titanic - we continue to build on that community.

Joshua Noble has been interested in the history of the ship from a very young and age and once he was old enough to watch it, a fan of the film too. But of particular interest are the lesser known characters, survivors and stories that go beyond Thomas Andrews, Captain Smith and Molly Brown. In this episode he shines a light on Annie Robinson, Archibald Butt, Lutie Davis and many others.

For this first very special episode of Season Two of Titanic Talk Nelson and Alexandra recorded in front of a live audience at the Mastic Beach Mini Indie Film Festival in New York just after they had watched Alexandra's documentary Ship of Dreams: Titanic Movie Diaries.

Dr Michael Martin, a retired mariner and ocean liner enthusiast opened his walks and talks about the history of Titanic and her last port of call, Cobh, Ireland in 1997 and as is proven by the fact we are all still fascinated by the doomed ship, he's still going strong 364 days a year - they don't have tours on Christmas Day unfortunately.

Nelson and Alexandra chat with Derek Lea - a man of many talents. Not only does he play the heroic role of Stoker Frederick Barrett in James Cameron's Titanic.

Derek's resumé ranges from James Bond to Dr Who to The Bourne Ultimatum - Derek has acted and performed stunts in them all. His IMDB page is very long. His stories are wonderful and Alexandra gets to fan-girl on him for the boxing choreography he designed on one of her early films - Boxer on the Wilderness.
