Triple M Breakfast with Leisel Jones, Liam and Spida

Darren McMullen, certified star and big boss of GC Racquet Club, comes in to talk about the recently opened venue & the crazes that are Pickle Ball and Padel! The team taste test him with some new pickle items. The dang pickles are taking over. Liam does a special Father’s Day edition of Child of the Week! A couple of very cute callers join the conversation to wish their dad’s a very happy dad’s day. Leisel Jones comes in with big news, having secured an audition for an extra role. It’s for a movie and we will find out Monday if dreams really do come true!

Spida makes good on his bet. He has plenty of complaining to do, but he did watch the Raygun documentary and shared his thoughts. Long story short, he was left frustrated. The Gold Coast pickle wars are in full swing! Pickle ball has taken over and is showing no signs of slowing down! Acting Mayor Mark Hammel joins the show to talk us through the South Stradbroke development news story, assuring the Golod coast that it is just an idea, but one that could have legs. The GC is divided. Leisel had a bad day at the bank and is ready to unload. Avoid the bank at all costs (as if we don’t already!)

Producer George is put to the test of which team member he would most like to be stuck with in different hypothetical situations. His answers surprise everyone! Spida was supposed to come prepared with a Netflix Raygun documentary review, as the loser of the bet. He comes empty handed, full of excuses, promising it will be done tomorrow. It’s crunch time now, with a punishment put in place if he fails, involving Raygun’s famous dance. Australian actor & writer, Luke Cook, joins the team in studio to talk about his move back from LA and give Leisel advice in her “extra” journey. Leisel came across and shocking road spill, with a family car boot sprawled all over the road yesterday. Nothing could never top the Tweed truck spill of 2001 – beer for all! The front page of the Gold Coast Bulletin is all about a proposed development of South Stradbroke island, and a local of the island calls to weigh in and dispel some of the rumours about the island.

Tegan from Glass Management is a talent agent who has been in the industry on the Gold Coast for decades. She joins the show to talk to Leisel about her extra aspirations! Is she out of her mind or can we make this happen? Spida is starting to get nervous as he prepares to jet set to the U.S to watch his son play college football! The Gold Coast’s nervous parents call in to make Spida feel better. Leisel Likes the Lovesac couch online beef & the team put their knowledge to the test in a quiz all about Producer George. The loser must watch the Raygun documentary and review it on the show tomorrow! Who knows Producer George best?

With the AFL and NRL finals locked in, it’s time to recap the team’s start-of-season predictions. Everyone still has one team alive! Leisel watched something on the weekend and it inspired her to chase a dream. Forget all her Olympic medals & her radio career, it’s time for her to take to the screen and become an extra! The people of the GC have plenty of extra experiences to share! Spida reflects on the Jai Arrow moment over the weekend, running out for the Bunnies against the Titans. It was one of those special moments that will go down in the annals of our sporting history. Liam tees off on Melbourne, who have put their hand up to host the tennis in 2032. He reckons they need to keep their nose out of our business and let Brisbane do its thing!

Spida Sprays Ooshies, calling for them to be banned across the board. If he can’t enjoy a plastic straw, why can the kids load up on plastic junk? Liam’s birthday is this weekend and he has a bone to pick with it. He’s requesting an official change! Melbourne Storm NRL star, Cameron Munster, joins the team to talk his Goldy visit & all things footy. Spida’s weekend gets even more full on, now having to look after a 4-year-old and 18-month-old, on his own!

Leisel had a blonde moment, only realising yesterday the CBUS Super Stadium in Robina is not a “super stadium” & rather is just sponsored by CBUS Super… A few listeners can relate to learning things a little late in life. GC Show creeps even closer & the team have suggestions for showbags that didn’t quite make it to Showbag Alley this year. SUNS AFLW is underway and Sunny Lappin is in to talk about the team’s first win of 2026, her first AFL goal & what stopped her parents from making it to the game! Finally, in a moment of utter stupidity, Spida wants to talk about menopause and the grief he has been getting from Sheree. Let’s just say the Gold Coast are not having it and call in to tell him what’s what.

The Gold Coast is blowing up deluxe! The new Council cars, covered in cameras, have been pinging people all over the Coast for parking illegally. Even for pulling over for 30 seconds on a yellow line to let someone get out of the car! The Mayor is on the show to defend the cars, but most of the Gold Coast aren’t convinced. Cash grab or genuine safety measure? Spida has a suggestion for the Gold Coast Show, thinking the Dagwood Doggers need their own section, to scoff in peace. Strangely enough, the conversation then shifts to Liam’s old undies, and the listeners are invested!

After getting a massage & being confused about what song she was listening to - Leisel has a brand-new game! In spas, they often have rock and roll covers, slowed down softly. It’s harder than you think! Spida’s mate had a shocker last night, losing his keys and needing to borrow Spida’s car to retrieve them. He’s not alone! We’ve all done it. Nikita Tszyu is in studio to talk about his fight on the GC on Wednesday night, but it gets sidetracked when he notices the crocheted penis in the studio. Leisel had a shocking moment on the weekend when someone came to inspect the car she has for sale. They went for a test drive and were going over the speed limit through a speed trap. Unbelievable behaviour!

After plenty of (not so) hard work and craftmanship (from their audio producer), Leisel, Liam and Spida release their debut single! After weeks of hearing from the Gold Coast about their phonetic alphabet, the ABGC’s is HERE. Liam gives Mack child of the week for almost burning down the house and the listeners can relate! Spida ties a bow around the SUNS season, giving his recommendations for the 2027 season. The SUNS genie is in session, to grant three wishes guaranteeing a fruitful result next year!
