This is the tragic case of two 13 year old boys who were abducted in New South Wales Australia in 1982. What happened to them is nothing short of horrific. One of the boys is able to survive the brutal attack and bring the two men that raped and tortured his friend to justice. However, the controversy does not stop at the crime in this case. 

The Brinks, a newly married couple were actually making the same plans we are now after their wedding and honeymoon in 1987. They had purchased a foreclosure on 20 acres of land. In the Fall of September 1979 Southern California had three active serial killers and an additional two that had been apprehended that year. This is why, when a fourth is announced to the public, panic swept Orange County. They called him the Bedroom Basher. He prayed on young women who were alone in their first floor apartment buildings. He would use a blunt weapon to render them unconscious and then sexually assault them. On September 30th, he walked through the front door of Dianna D’Aiello’s apartment, little did he know it would be this case, that would be his undoing.

Stoco Lake lies within the Lake Ontario drainage basin in the municipality of Tweed in Hastings County Ontario. The calm, three and half mile lake has one bay tucked away in its northwest corner. This area is known as the settlement of Cosy Cove. It is a charming section of Tweed that hugs around the lake with it’s dirt roads and beautiful bungalows. The families that call Cosy Cove home are all close. They are there for each other and welcoming to new members of their community. They have block parties and BBQs in the Summer and holiday get togethers in the Winter. It is truly the ideal place to call home. But the peace on the lake was shattered in the Summer of 2009 when the community learned that there was a man breaking into homes and sexually assaulting females. And it seemed like he was only escalating.
