Turn It Gold was founded by Angela Dina and her family, along with good friends, following the stage IV, high- risk neuroblastoma cancer diagnosis in there son, Charlie. As Charlie battled through rounds of chemotherapy, surgeries, radiation, and a stem cell transplant, the Dina family was able to see the extreme need for continued funding to aid in furthering childhood cancer research. Thankfully, Charlie is surviving his cancer diagnosis. However, they now are seeing the aftermath of the toxic drugs given to their son and how there is a significant funding gap in research to minimize these long term effects for all children surviving these cancer diagnoses.
