Planning a wedding that truly reflects you both can feel overwhelming at times, right? With so many options, it's tough to know where to start, what works and what doesn't.
But what I’d love to encourage you to do is to forget about fleeting “trends” – because I want to explore some ideas that are genuinely creating magical moments in 2025 weddings. And I’ll also shed light on some outdated approaches that couples are happily leaving behind.
And when I say wedding trends, I’m not here to dictate the hottest colours or push you towards budget-busting extravagances that don't resonate with you.
Instead, I want to share the thoughtful choices couples are making in 2025 that genuinely enhance their wedding experience. And some of them might not be new, as such, but they are definitely gaining in popularity.
Today, I’m diving into ideas that are working right now to maximise your precious time, create unforgettable moments, and minimise any post-wedding regret.
From reimagining traditional timelines to incorporating technology that brings far-flung loved ones closer, we'll see how couples are creating little pockets inside their weddings that feel authentically 'them.'
I’ll also look at ways people are reducing stress, amping up their guests’ experience, and refining the elements of their day (or days) by serving a purpose that means something to them.

What's your relationship with your parents worth to you?
This episode was inspired by a real-future mother of the bride and Unbridely Podcast listener, who reached out to me about her own daughter’s wedding.
The Mum left me a voice message because she was wondering how to broach the topic of offering money to help pay for her daughter’s wedding and how to make sure that it came across to the soon-to-be-weds as helpful, thoughtful, intentional and not controlling, or just throwing cash at them.
She wants her contribution to be valued and meaningful to both her and her daughter.
So today, I share a few insights on how I think it’s best to work through this potential minefield of emotions, power, money and expectations.
How do you accept help from your parents without feeling like you're losing control of your own wedding?
How do you keep your relationship with them intact while still staying true to what you and your fiancé want?
Your going to learn some real, practical strategies for setting boundaries, having those awkward conversations, and making sure your wedding stays YOUR wedding.
Plus I want to share with you how my parents contributed to our wedding and how it made our wedding day and general relationship with them even stronger.

Have you ever walked away after a conversation, or been driving home and thought:
“oh man, I should’ve stood up for myself” or “I should have said what I really felt” or worse still you couldn’t think of anything in the moment but you realise what you should’ve said afterwards.
It's a scientific fact that once you get engaged (maybe 2nd only to when you get pregnant) you’ll be on the receiving end of more uncomfortable dare I say STUPID questions than you’ve ever been asked in your entire life. And they can make you feel uncomfortable, they can be of a private nature, or quite simply no one’s business.
So today I’m here to help you decide the options available to you.
From the high-road, classy replies that neutralise the conversation so you can change topics OR if you’ve got nothing to lose, the sassy, spicy, sarcastic retorts that, for sure, burn bridges, but also let people know that you’re not playing.
And at the end of the episode, I’ll also be sharing some all-rounder replies that work for pretty much anything—responses that let you stay cool, calm, collected, and come out of it smelling like roses, no matter what’s thrown your way.

When was the last time you forgot something? It might have been as recently as this morning when you left your travel mug of coffee on the kitchen bench or went to the shops without shopping bags. But when it comes to your wedding day… that’s a once-in-a-lifetime event.
And while you’ve likely put a lot of thought into the big picture—your venue, what you’re wearing, and even your vows—you’d be surprised how easy it is to overlook some of the smaller, yet absolutely crucial details.
It’s almost inevitable that some things slip through the cracks—whether it’s coordinating vendor schedules, packing essential items, or planning your post-wedding transport. Forgetting to arrange just one of these can impact not only your day but the experience your loved ones have as well.
In this episode, I’ll walk you through 10 of the most easily forgotten—yet incredibly important—details that can make all the difference.

Are you feeling the pressure to wow your wedding guests with a perfect first dance? What if I told you that stressing over the choreography, for 99.9% of people at least, is totally unnecessary?
Today, I'm joined by Joel and Clara from JC Dance Co, Canada to ask them why they believe many couples approach their first dance all wrong — and how you can make yours a memory you'll actually LOVE instead of a performance you dread.
In this episode, you’ll learn the biggest misconceptions couples have about their first dance and how to reframe what that moment could be for you, your fiancé and your family and friends.
Joel and Clara will explain why choreographed dance moves add unnecessary stress, and why focusing on feeling confident and connected is far more important than pulling off complicated steps and flashy moves.
Plus, if you feel like you have ‘two left feet,’ don’t worry! They also share their strategies for those engaged couples who have little to no dance experience.
And finally, we’ll dive into their philosophy of teaching dance skills that last well beyond your wedding day — helping you create a foundation for a lifetime of dancing together.
If you BOTH want to step onto your wedding dance floor feeling relaxed AND excited, this episode is a must-listen!

How can you be sure you’re planning a wedding that your family and friends will actually enjoy?
In my job as a celebrant here in Australia this wedding season, I’ve been reminded of some of the basics of wedding planning and how, frequently, it doesn’t matter how big or modest your budget is.
These concepts are about making a welcoming and comfortable space for your guests so they want to stay, and in fact, when the lights come on after last drinks have been called:
1) There’ll still be people there and
2) There’ll be an audible groan that the celebrations have come to an end.
Today I’m sharing the top 10 things that wedding guests secretly hate, but won’t complain about (to you, at least).

If you had a dollar for every time your family or friends asked, 'What’s the dress code?' or ‘Can I bring a +1’ you’d have enough to pay for the open bar.
But seriously, there’s a way to cut the volume of those repeat questions pretty much in half.
So before you hit the 'delete guest list' button, consider this: your wedding website is like your very own virtual assistant, and the FAQ page means that they’re working for you 24/7.
It’s like the 'Frequently Asked Questions' section on your favourite online store, but instead of shipping rates, despatch times and returns info, it’s ‘Yes, there’s parking’, ‘no, you can’t bring your dog’, and ‘yes, there’ll be a gluten-free option for dessert’ —saving you time, sanity, and about 67 text messages.
And when you use your wedding website to anticipate your guest’s concerns you also minimize the back-and-forth communication with them.
It’s also important to include clear and comprehensive FAQs to help you hold your boundaries and to communicate any changes and/or exceptions to the decisions that you’ve already made.
I’ve pulled together a list of the most common and helpful 16 FAQs to get you started.

What would you do if you didn’t receive your wedding photo gallery?
As weeks turn to months after your wedding day and you still haven’t gotten your wedding photos, it can start to feel like your memories are being held hostage. And that’s when the panic can set in.
Did your photographer lose your photos?
Were their SD card/s damaged?
Why are they still posting other couple’s photos on socials?
You can really start to spiral.
