The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast begins

a new series focused on the Bible's revelation

of things to come, e.g. prophecy. Prophecy is

of interest to many in these days.

As Dr. Mitchell relates, there are three major

parts into which prophetical revelation falls.

1st: Israel

2nd: the Nations

3rd: the Church of God

This 3-fold structure is found in 1 Cor.10:31.

The Jew, the Gentile and the Church of God.

A major purpose of prophecy is to give one

hope. There is hope for Israel, the nations

and the church of God.

Let's turn to 1 Cor. 10:31 with our teacher

Dr. Mitchell in presenting our hope on the Unchanging Word

Bible Broadcast.

In previous lessons we have heard

about the resurrection of the individual believer in Christ, of the church and of the nation of

Israel.

Dr. Mitchell further clarifies what kind of body the believer in Christ will receive when it is raised from

the dead or changed at the rapture.

In exploring the resurrection of the unsaved we find what will happen to those who do not believe in and

trust in the living Lord Jesus Christ

for their salvation from sin and death.

We will explore what the Bible

declares concerning the resurrection of the unsaved.

Dr. Mitchell reads 2Peter 2:9

where the Lord knows how to reserve the unjust until the day of

judgment to be punished.

Revelation 20:11-15 gives us a

picture of the great white throne

judgment.

looking at the benefits of the physical resurrection of our Lord

Jesus Christ.

In this lesson, Dr. Mitchell looks at the resurrection in relation to

the nation of Israel.

Does the nation of Israel have this

hope? The scripture declare that

they do. In Hosea chapter 6:1-2 we

read that God will revive the

nation and raise them up.

When the nation as a whole shall

call upon the LORD, their Messiah,

he will come to their rescue and redeem them.

Dr. Mitchell also takes us to Ezekiel 37 which declares the resurrection of the nation of Israel which is

seen in the valley as dry bones. Let’s join Dr. Mitchell declaring the hope of the nation of Israel in Ezekiel 37 and Isaiah 66.

We continue in the series of “What

did Jesus Do at the Cross” with

“What did Jesus do at His

Resurrection, part 4?”

Since every future resurrection is based on our Lord Jesus Christ and

the physical resurrection of his

body from the dead, we are exploring the Biblical statements

of truth which result from our

Lord’s resurrection. His

resurrection guarantees every future resurrection which will

occur. This is the hope of those

who die in Christ as we find in 1Thessalonians 4:13-18.

In Philippians 3:21, we read that

Jesus, who has been raise up out of

the dead and now is in heaven, has

the power to subject all things

unto Himself. Thus, the believer's

human body, whether dead or alive, will be changed like unto His

glorious body.

Let’s join Dr. Mitchell here on the

Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast,

1Thessalonians 4:13.

This is the third lesson of the Biblical doctrine of the physical resurrection of the body

from the dead.

Dr. Mitchell will be teaching in this lesson of the physical

resurrection of the believer in

the the Lord Jesus Christ.

Here he, in speaking of the body of Christ, the church, declares

the hope for the individual

Christian, which is to be with the

Christ. Philippians 1:20-24. He also speaks of the hope of the

church, collectively, found in

Philippians 3:20-21, and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18. All believers in Christ have their

citizenship in heaven from which we eagerly await the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let’s rejoice in the hope of the resurrection

out from among the dead with our teacher,

Bible Broadcast, Philippians 1:20

From the oldest book of the Bible,

the book of Job, we read Job saying

“For I know that my redeemer lives,

and he shall stand at the last

day upon the earth. And though after my skin is destroyed, yet in

my body of flesh I shall see God.”

Job.19:25-26

If the Old Testament saints were

assured of resurrection, how much

more we who know and believe that Jesus Christ has been physically

raised from the dead.

Dr. Mitchell points out the words

of the Lord Jesus in John 6, the four times our Lord stated His

belief in the physical

resurrection of the dead.

He states, “If Jesus Christ was not raised from the dead, we have no hope or salvation.”

Let's open our Bible to 1Corinthians

15:12. Your listening to the

Our study continues with What did Jesus

Do at the Cross and now at His resurrection.

Here we are dealing with the literal

physical resurrection of the body, both

of the saved and of the unsaved.

Dr. Mitchell turns first to John 5:27-29

where we hear Jesus' words as to His

authority to raise the dead either for

life or for judgment.

He then goes on to share several other

scriptures, both in the New Testament

and the Old, that substantiate the truth of

physical resurrection. He notes, this is

the great message of the early church.

Jesus Himself assures us that He is the

resurrection and the life. Whoever believes

in Him shall live even if he dies, and

whoever lives and believes in Him shall

never die. Do you Believe this? John 11:25

Here is Dr. Mitchell beginning with

the doctrine of physical resurrection

Our study in what did Jesus do at

the cross and the resurrection

continues with God's judgment of

the wicked dead. We find this

truth in Revelation 20:11. This

is also referred to as the Great

White throne judgment.

As Dr. Mitchell guides us through

this passage, he emphasizes the

need for each person to know

what their final destination

is going to be. Is it going

to be with Jesus Christ as

one's name is written the in

book of life? Or is it going

to be as one who will not find

their name written in this book?

All that is left is for a person

to be judged by the things

written in the books according

their works.

Have you decided where you will

spend eternity?

Also, there will be a judgment

of angels by believers. 1 Cor.6:3

Here is Dr. Mitchell, Rev.20:11

on the Unchanging Word Bible

Broadcast.

The apostle Paul announced in Acts 17:31

that God is now declaring to all men every

where that they should repent, because He

has fixed a day in the which He will judge

the world in righteousness by that man whom

He has approved by raising Him from the

dead". Here Paul refers to Jesus being raised

from the dead to be the judge of the world.

The Lord Jesus Christ coming in glory will

sit on His glorious throne. He will judge the

nations as nations for their compassion on

or their neglect of His people Israel.

Dr. Mitchell now declares the truth of God's

judgment of the nations of the earth.

He starts in Matthew 25:31. This is

the Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast.

Once again we take a look at scripture

which declares to us the truth of the

judgment of a believer's works at the

judgment seat of Christ, also known

as the Bema Seat.

The primary scripture for this truth

is based in 1Corinthians 3:8-15.

The believer builds upon the

foundation of Jesus Christ, but

how one builds upon this foundation

will be tested by fire. That Day will

be revealed by fire and the fire

will test the quality of that work.

That day, is the day of Christ, not the

day of the LORD. The day of Christ

is when Christ returns for His church.

In this passage, in verse 12, Paul lists

6 kinds of building materials. 3 will

endure the fire, and 3 will be burnt up.
