The Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast continues in Acts 3:1.
Luke brings out the witness of the power of God to
heal a man born lame. He was lame from birth meaning
he had never walked so he had never learned to walk.
Although the lame man had been hoping for a hand out, Peter
informed him that they were short on funds, having neither
silver or gold. Then Peter said, such as I do have I give
to you. Peter reaching down, taking hold of the man’s hand
commanded him in the name of Jesus of Nazareth to stand up
and walk, and he did and this man didn’t even need any therapy
or instruction on how to walk. Such was God’s power to heal him.
This demonstration of power to heal authenticated Peter’s
message of the resurrection of Christ.

June 17, 2021 Acts 02:41-47 - Prog 14
Thank you each one of you who support the Unchanging Word
Bible Broadcast with your prayer and contributions. God is
not unjust to forget your prayer and support for this
personal ministry of Word of God to your heart.
Our study continues in Acts 2:41 as Luke writes of the
beginnings of God’s church. Dr. Mitchell speaks of the
commencement, the continuance, and the growth of this new
church.
This new body of believers, being observed by others, began
meeting from house to house and in the temple. Luke also
writes that the Lord was adding day by day those who were
being saved. Remember Jesus’ words in Mt.16:18 where He
says, “upon this rock I will build My church”. As the Word
of God is proclaimed, God builds His church.

June 16, 2021 Acts 2:36-39 Prog 13
In this lesson, we will read and hear the response of those
who had listened to Peter’s exhortation and teaching about
Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved by God.
Dr. Mitchell gives us 3 credentials as to who Jesus was and is.
The people were to repent, that is to change their minds as
to who this Jesus was and is. Who do you believe Jesus to be
? Is He God in the flesh? We say, Yes, with out a doubt.
The people also were to be baptized in the name of this
Jesus who was crucified and raised from the dead.
They would then receive the Holy Spirit whom God promised
to those who would believe in this Jesus, the Christ.
As Luke then writes, there were about 3000 souls saved that
day.

June 15, 2021 Acts 2:29-36 - Prog 12
Our study in Acts continues in chapter 2 beginning at verse
29. Peter begins an historical overview of David, who not
only was he God’s appointed King, but was also called a
prophet. Why? because David wrote of the Messiah in Ps.16
as being raised from the dead.
Peter confirms that David wrote of the risen Christ, because
David both died and his tomb was still in Jerusalem at the present
time Peter was speaking. The people knew this to be true. So
David had not written of himself, but of the Messiah who is
Jesus because God raised Jesus from the dead. God made Jesus
both Lord and Christ.
God will take care of each one of us who have trusted in this
risen Christ who is now at the right hand of God.

June 14, 2021 Acts 2:22-28 - Prog 11
Thank you for listening along with us here on the
Unchanging Word Bible Broadcast. We begin in
Acts 2:22 where Luke records for us Peter's exhortation to
the Jews who were in Jerusalem for Pentecost.
After being filled with the Holy Spirit, Peter proclaims the
history of Jesus of Nazareth in his death and resurrection
and he proclaims what was written by David in Psalm 16.
That means, our Lord Jesus fulfilled prophetic scripture to
the letter. This prophecy is now, today, history; history
revealed by God the Holy Spirit in the Bible for you and me
to read and believe.
Dr. Mitchell will take us through Peter's entire sermon with
it's focus on our savior, Jesus Christ as He was and is
revealed in Psalm 16.

June 14, 2021 Acts 1:4-8 - Prog 03
Our study continues with Luke’s words in Acts 1:4 where
Our Lord ordered His disciples to stay in Jerusalem and to
wait for the promise of the Father.
In vs.6 The disciples asked Jesus about the restoration of
the kingdom to Israel whether it was to happen now. Jesus
said it was not for them to know when that would happen,
since only the Father knew the fixed time when he would
bring it to pass. However, the Lord did give them an
understanding of what would be happening to them not many
days from then. He would be sending the promise of the
Father to them, that is, the Holy Spirit from God. This
would be the start and beginning of the church of Christ.

June 11, 2021 Acts 2:7-22 - Prog 10
Continuing in Acts 2 we are in verses 7-22 on the Unchanging
Word Bible Broadcast.
Dr. Mitchell, continues his exposition beginning in
Acts 2:14 where Peter stands up to speak to the
visitors from the various nations.
Peter answers their accusations by saying: “these are not
drunk, as you suppose”.
Be sure to examine suppositions.
These were not drunk but they are filled with the Holy
Spirit as Peter explains from scripture, Joel 2:28-32.
In all that this Scripture says, Dr. Mitchell points out
that not everything written there was completely fulfilled
on this day of Pentecost. But Peter uses these verses to
speak of God’s pouring out the Holy Spirit and that all who
call on the name of the Lord will be saved.

June 10, 2021 Acts 2:1-11 - Prog 09
Luke, in Acts 2:1-11, writes of 16 different nations and
languages which were in Jerusalem for the Jewish feast of
Pentecost. Pentecost occurred 50 days after the Passover.

When the Holy Spirit came from heaven and filled the house
where the believers were sitting, they all began to speak in
the known language dialects of these 16 different nations.
Although they were all amazed at what was occurring, they
understood the words that these Galileans were speaking.
They all understood who the disciples were speaking about.
They heard of the mighty works that God had done.
Dr. Mitchell will bring out 4 times in the book of Acts when
4 diverse ethnic groups received the Spirit of God.
The four times are Acts 2, 8, 10, 19.

In Acts 2:1-4, we see the Holy Spirit at work in the
body of Christ.
The Holy Spirit becomes prominent in this 2nd chapter of
Acts. We are reminded that our Lord Jesus Christ told His
disciples that He would ask the Father for the
Spirit and Jesus would in turn send the Holy Spirit who
would in turn baptize the believers into the body of Christ.
Dr. Mitchell will explore the truths revealed in Scripture
concerning the work of the Holy Spirit for and in the
believer in the risen Christ.
He will speak of the regenerating, baptizing, sealing,
indwelling and filling work of the Holy Spirit of God.
