Throughout the year, Land-Grant Holy Land will be bringing you uncut audio primarily from Ohio State press conferences, but also from individual interview sessions.
The No. 9 Ohio State women's basketball team took a brief hiatus from the road, welcoming the Oregon Ducks to the Schottenstein Center. A 27-point run in the second quarter put the Buckeyes ahead for good, but not without a late surge from the Ducks in a 69-60 win for the 16-0 Buckeyes.
After the game, head coach Kevin McGuff and guards Kennedy Cambridge and Taylor Thierry spoke with the media.
McGuff discussed Cambridge's first half spark that turned into the huge second quarter. Also, McGuff calls the win the best performance by Thierry this season and the rare emotion the senior showed in the second quarter a deserving moment for the soft-spoken career Buckeye.
Then, Cambridge and Thierry took turns correcting each other, with both minimizing their impact in the Big Ten win for Ohio State. Thierry discussed how vital Cambridge's play is to the team and Cambridge applauded Thierry's shooting, and encouraged it to continue.
