Seeing as its America's busiest freeway you'd think tens of thousands of motorists would praise it's construction and arterial access to so many areas of souther California. But since it's also the most congested freeway in the United States, the consensus shall likely remain...nope, it sucks, hate it, thank you very much. Such is human nature, we adapt to anything, so much so that we often take great achievements of modern convenience for granted on a collective scale.

Apparently America doesn't take Marvel for granted as Avengers: Endgame opening weekend topped the box office with $1.2 billion in ticket sales. Two weeks later that total has almost doubled. Good thing too since it's budget was $356 million. The third highest of all time. I wonder what percentage of the average Hollywood budget goes to charity?

Have you ever wondered how someone "makes it" in Hollywood? Michal Gruszczynski, a Polish cinematographer puts his life on hold in Poland and starts from scratch in Los Angeles. With no job, no wheels and no place to live, Michal gives himself 15 days to find a car, an apartment and a film project. After 6 months in America and a handful of new credits he heads back to Poland with new representation, at a new level in his career and with a deeper emotional understanding of his professional self.

Coop and Myan get really lucky snagging Michal 16 hours before his flight back to Warsaw, Poland. Getting someone with a perspective from behind the camera is a great change of pace. A hands-on reminder of all the different artistic departments that make a project possible. Michal had previously been traveling the world, Guatemala, Indonesia, Bankok, working on various projects, from a reality show featuring Polish fighter Joanna Jedrzejczyk, the former UFC women's strawweight champion, to a simple self-tape for his friend, Rafal Zawierucha, a Polish actor who landed a role in Quentin Tarantino's newest film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.

Receiving support from the Polish Film Institute, collaborating with the American Society of Cinematographers and even shooting a music video with Unofficial's very own Coop and Myan, its clear Michal Gruszczynski is a talented, consummate addition to any production in which he gets involved. We really can't wait to see what's next for Poland's newest DP Wonderboy.

Is Myan Finally getting a Tesla?? NO! Well yes but not right now. Elon emailed last week and said he could lease one for cheap so it's basically T-minus for launch. Yeah Tesla Stock has taken a hit recently but disrupting a 100 year old industry of human transportation for a global population, literally fueled by the lifeblood of the corrupted world economy (after war of course) is not the simplest task. Luckily the profits made on a little Tesla stock will eventually pay for the downpayment on the lease making every aspect of modern, electric car-buying an overwhelmingly sustainable endeavor. So you basically hate the planet if you don't lease a Tesla. That could be an effective ad campaign. Tesla: Stop hating Earth!

Coop and Myan are creeping up on 40 here next week...episodes, that is and the topics of discussion have begun to really elevate to some serious stuff. It turns out that Cooper doesn't really like DVD commentary and Myan solves an issue of traffic etiquette with donuts. Throw in a classic Boy Scout Old Lady-badge and two Polish dudes named Michael and you've got yourself an episode guaranteed to be nominated for a Poddy. I don't know if podcast awards exist but they absolutely will at some point and someone is gonna call one a "Poddy."

Unofficial brings you only the finest, handcrafted, impromptu, artisanal audio-gold and Thursdays we drag some innocent soul down with us and it's goddamn, unadulterated country gravy. This Thursday it's Coop's friend Michal, a cinematographer from Poland, visiting America to find his own path to success and maybe some genuine human connections if time permits. So strap on your listenin' caps, pray to whatever phony, flying bearded unicorn you think brings the rain and thank your mom for pushing her own happiness aside to give you a chance to play Angry Birds and watch a couple of seasons of Whitney. If time permits.

If they made Punky Brewster into a feature length film and they were casting for a 28 year old Punky, I'm pretty sure this week's guest would land the gig. Kelsey, a friend of the show and gift to the world is the kind of girl-next-door you want in your corner if life gets even remotely somber. She is ageless and has a zeal for living that rivals that of the little girl who stood on the bathroom sink and purposely declared to the world that she liked absolutely everything. After months of pleading Kelsey finally worked an Unofficial visit into her busy schedule and Coop and Myan are so excited they can barely even let her talk. Take a breath, fellas.

Unofficial fills this week's Thursday guest show with an hour of all your favorites: racism, meditation, wordless auditions for sexual lubricants. The boys find a way to compare police officers to pit bulls, care about the number of wheels on a dump truck and even name a future band after Kelsey's lip sweat. LIP SWEAT!!! Coop teaches us that turbulence is all bark, that being early is only for the cool kids and that we finally have a photo of a real black hole. Myan sits on an astrological fence, waxes on about the Ultra Deep Field and the vast unknowingness of our immesurable Universe and argues against anyone giving a shit about his birthday. Honestly, he's not going to remember yours so what's the point?

So make a bit of time to sit with your Unofficial friends, take in a little pointless prattle and ask yourself where your mind's creativity and body's ability to manifest converge and what your talent and art really mean to you and what you're going to do about it. As Kelsey noted, in many ways we are "taught to be small," perhaps not encouraged to even be ourselves. But it's our choice to rise beyond the boxes, to be present, to constantly carbonate the space around us and those with whom we share it. To truly...live in a question mark.

This week starts off with a hiccup. More like a hotcup actually. Coop's cup of coffee gives us a hurdle one minute into our grueling workweek. Luckily for us great art comes from real struggle so we quickly turned it around and churned out another epic half hour Monday. This one is filled with tales of mediocre adolescent-athleticism, under-appreciated frontier vignettes and the boy's passion for Kevin Hart's dirigible soul. You can tell that guy's a good dude.

There's something about our Monday morning romp that we really like keeping simple, get the week started with some comfortable shenanigans and then hit Thursday hard with an in-depth plunge into the mind of a talented artist. Thursday our friend Kelsey pops in to tell us what its like working in LA theatre and now commercials. Kelsey is literally one of the sweetest human beings the universe has ever spat out and it truly was a delight to have her on the show. That episode should definitely we accompanied by a warm cup of tea and some essential oils.

Justine Monsul, creator of monfefo cold-press juice company drops a case of her Turmeric shots on the boys at J30 Studio. And they won’t shut up about it. They can’t stop saying how delicious it is, how much organic energy it gives them and what a “simple-ingredient-genius” Justine happens to be. It’s getting kind of annoying actually..give it a rest, guys.

Ok I just tried one of the Turmeric shots, with orange, lemon, agave and black pepper and I would just like to issue a formal correction on a mistake I made in the previous paragraph. As it turns out, monfefo’s Justine Monsul is a flavor-astronaut who only knows one gear...deliciosity. Ok, second gear is probably quality and nutrients idk.

Coop and Myan look forward to Thursday’s guest show so much. This week Justine teaches them that if they want to swim with the other kids that you just need to jump in the water.
