Vikings Happy Hour

🔥Viking Hot Takes🔥 are back after the week two game where the Minnesota Vikings got trounced by the Philadelphia Eagles. Flip and Eric question why the Vikes lost 24-7 and what its implications are for their future.

Flip from Climbing The Pocket will battle Eric Thompson from the Daily Norseman for the 37th episode of Viking Hot Takes on the Climbing The Pocket channel on Tuesday night. In this episode, they’ll follow the usual format of the show, with 3 questions each in the 20-minute, and no biting kneecaps. That comes next week when the Detroit Lions come to town.

Flip asks:

1. Growing Pains or a Bad Game?

2. How many elite players does Minnesota have?

3. What would a loss to Detroit mean for the 2022 season?

Eric asks:

1. Were there any positives to come out of Monday night's game?

2. What's one personnel change you would make after the first two weeks?

3. What will the Vikings' record be when they return from London?

Fan with us!!! With Flip Mazzi @Flipmazzi, Eric Thompson @eric_j_thompson, and producer Dave @Luft_Krigare as part of a @Climb_ThePocket Network’s & @DailyNorseman’s production. Hopefully, Kevin O’Connell has his playbook working generating all sorts of love in Vikings fans. Can the Eagles guard Justin Jefferson? Will Dalvin Cook have a big night? On this 🎙The Real Forno Show 🏈 - The Minnesota Vikings took down the Green Bay Packers with relative ease in week one and take on the Philadelphia Eagles in week two. The biggest key in that game was the Vikings didn't have to expose much of their playbook. They spammed a few core concepts and that was it. Going against the Eagles, Kevin O'Connell will be opening up the playbook more to try and get to 2-0. One issue that has been a perceived issue for the Vikings has been Kirk Cousins and wanting to check down. This season for The Vikings Wire, I will be diving into just that. Why did he check down and was it a good choice? Join us as we break things down before the primetime Monday Night Football matchup.

- Vikings vs Eagles

- More of the KOC playbook needed

- Is Cousins still checking down?

- Tyler keys to winning in week 2

All of that and more tonight on The Real Forno Show. Strap in and join host Tyler Forness and producer Dave live tonight!

On this Two Old Bloggers, the Minnesota Vikings won their opener against that team from Wisconsin [TTFW], the Green Bay Packers last Sunday in the first of their NFC North matchups. They did not beat them, they demolished their will to play, at least Aaron Rodger’s will as he was constantly pressured by only the base defensive line and edge rushers. His receivers having the dropsies didn’t help either. New Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell had a lot to do with the whole game and set the attitude necessary to facilitate such a convincing win. Darren gets to break it down and how it will apply to the NFL week 2 game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

We’ll take a look at the Monday Night Football matchup with the Vikings traveling to Philadelphia to meet the 1-0 NFC East Eagles. Can the Vikings' O-line hold up to the power rush of the Eagles? Can Kirk Cousins have Justin Jefferson as wide open as he was against the Packers? Will Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison have a big day since the Detroit Lions ran on the Eagles last week? We’ll find out, but until then, join us for the breakdown of both squads.

Here are the themes for the show:

Theme #1: The Kevin O’Connell Era starts with a bang

Theme #2: Quick hitters

Theme #3: Vikings vs Eagles preview

On this Two Old Bloggers, the Minnesota Vikings are on the verge of opening the season at home in US Bank Stadium with their most hated rivals to the east, the Green Bay Packers. Vikings vs Packers - Are you ready? Darren and Dave hope to get you that way.

New head coach Kevin O’Connell has played a gamble throughout the preseason keeping the majority of Vikings starters off the field. This will be the first time we see all of the starters play. Will they be rusty or very refreshed? About half the league took this approach this season and it will be interesting to compare the results at the end of the season, but for now, we’ll hope for the results the Los Angeles Rams had last season. This will be the first time we see KOC and the rest of his staff in full “win the game” mode too. Until this point, it has been vanilla and focused on evaluating the roster and who and how quickly they pick up the playbook. There are many things from players to schemes to look forward to seeing. Will he make better decisions and get better results with almost the same players as did Mike Zimmer? Zimmer knew how to beat the Packers even with subpar defenses the last couple of years.

How will Aaron Rodgers fair against a different defensive scheme that includes a pissed-off ZaDarius Smith? Will his offensive line hold up when it is possible that two key linemen will be ruled out at game-time? What about all his new receivers? Has he built up trust with any of them as he had with Davante Adams for all those years? Would he rather be pointing his anus towards the sun and taking psychotropics? Ed Donatell and the gang hope to make that so. The teams really do match up relatively equally, especially if you believe O’Connell can do at the head coach level what he did as an offensive coordinator. Can Kirk Cousins and all his weapons suddenly see an offensive explosion in point production? Can the defense switching to a 3-4 not make many mistakes? Sunday at 3:25 on FOX for most of the nation to see, it will all become clearer. This is such a game that FOX made it their national one. The Vikings however, are underdogs for this game. Prove Vegas wrong!

Here are the themes for the show:

Theme #1: Will Kevin O’Connell’s rest gambit pay off?

Theme #2: Learning about O’Connell

Theme #3: Vikings – Packers preview
