Vikings Happy Hour

After covering the offense last week, Flipmazzi turns his attention to the defense:

The craziness of Antonio Brown and the second episode of Hard Knocks

Why is Kaare Vedvik here?

We should be sick of all the regression talk circling Mike Zimmer's defense. Youth is always where the Zim Reapers have found their edge. Anthony Barr, Xavier Rhodes, Danielle Hunter and Trae Waynes are great examples.

Anthony Harris arrived last year after glimpses of solid play in his four year career.

Stephen Weatherly gave Minnesota a needed lift in Everson Griffen's absence.

Eric Wilson played in a bunch of games last year and the dropoff between him and Eric Kendricks is shrinking.

Mackensie Alexander, a lot of people gave up on him, but now he solidifies the cornerback group.

Zimmer's staff develops these guys again and again and again. And if you want to bet against the unproven youth in 2019, have fun!

Of all the newest additions in Eagan right now: Garrett Bradbury, Josh Kline, Irv Smith Jr...Gary Kubiak should be the newcomer that Vikings fans are most excited to see. Kubiak brings plenty of experience, and therefore plenty of examples for what he’ll bring to Minnesota’s offense.

In this episode @Flipmazzi looks at Kubiak’s recent past and finds players who Kirk Cousins, Stefon Diggs, Adam Thielen, Kyle Rudolph, Irv Smith Jr. and Dalvin Cook can clone for 2019. What type of season’s can we expect our skill players to have? Who are the men who have done similar things for Kubiak in the past.

Gary Kubiak produced top ten offenses with Joe Flacco, Matt Schaub, Justin Forsett, Owen Daniels, Joel Dreesen, Kevin Walter, Jacoby Jones etc. Vikings fans need to realize the wave of offensive performance he’s about to bring to Minnesota.
