Are you ready? Because it's time. It's time for you to live your best life on purpose and for a purpose right now. And it's going to require a few things. It's going to require you to get in formation first and foremost. And that's simply positioning yourself to go after whatever it is that you want. Set yourself up for the success that you seek.
It's going to require you to take time. It's going to require you to stretch yourself. It's going to require you to be all that you can be. And you're going to have to do that strategically. You are going to have to sit there and identify what exactly it is that you want and be honest about it. And then even be further honest, Are you ready to receive it?
In fact, you know, taking a listen to Beyoncé in her track "Formation," she says, "I see it, I want it, I stunt it, yellow bone it. I dream it, I work hard, I grind till I own it." Faith without works is dead. Hmm? What do you want? She continues, "Sometimes I go off, I go hard, get what's mine, I'm a star." Well, you're a star too. And it's time for you to shine. Okay? One foot after the other. Get in formation. Alright?! Your dreams and your best life is waiting on you.

I had someone recently ask me, "Dawn, is it hard?" And at first, I was perplexed because I wasn't sure what they were referring to, but we were on the topic of me pursuing my dreams. Me over here at KJLH hosting Front Page. Also, me right here with you, hosting "Vitamin D with Dawn Dai."
And at first I was perplexed and I replied, "I've been preparing for this moment my entire life." But as I sit here with you, I think to myself, "yes, it is hard." And oftentimes the hardest part is just showing up. But what happens when you're already in the room? When you have the desire and you've ignited it, but trials and tribulations come your way?
Now you could fall, but on the other hand, you can stand. See, it doesn't help to worry about a situation. What do they say? "Either you worry or you're going to pray or you're going to pray, but you can't worry. They too cannot coexist as one." And in that moment, when you don't know what to do, what do we hear? "Peace be still."
And it reminds me of the track by Donnie McClurkin, "Stand." And he says, "What do you do when you've done all you can? And it seems like it's never enough." Well, in it he says, "You stand." "Tell me, what do you give when you've given your all and it seems like you can't make it through?" Well, you just stand.
Half of the battle is just weathering the storm, whether you like it or not. But you can't fail, if you don't quit. We hear it in Psalms 23, "For I walk through the valley of the shadow of death. I fear no evil for your rod and your staff thy comfort me." Your truth will comfort you. Your vision will comfort you. Your passion will comfort you.
How bad do you want it? Stop looking around and look within and just stand.

Sometimes when we ask God to grow, it starts to rain. And we know where there's rain there's life, right? And where life is, there's growth. That's how we know that we are alive. However, oftentimes in life we don't like what it feels like to grow. In fact, we try to block the growth because that's growing pains.
We try to avoid it. We try our best to not experience. Essentially, not to feel. But I want to charge you with something else. Unlike going outside when it starts to rain. You put up an umbrella to block all that. But what if those "raindrops" were blessings? What would you say then? Would you be more willing to receive it or receive them?
Be more accepting about the growth that's coming forth in your life? It makes me think of SWV in their track "Rain" and in it in the chorus they're belting, "Rain down on me. Let your love just fall down like rain." I want your abundance. I want your blessings to fall on you like rain. And the next time you ask God to grow, don't be surprised if you feel the rain.
Rain is good, right? I'm shouting it right now. "Rain down on me. Let's your love. Let your blessings. Let your abundance fall down on me like rain. Just rain down on me."

They say God delivers three answers: "Yes." "Not yet." Or "I have something better in mind." That's when we must remind ourselves when we talk about the greatness of God and the ability of the things that can be done. Because remember, the promise was "exceedingly and abundantly, far more than what you could ever imagine." However, I think sometimes we have to remind ourselves that when God says "yes," no one can say "no."
It reminds me of the track "Say Yes" by Michelle Williams, you know, from Destiny's Child and in the track, she says, "When Jesus says yes. Nobody can say no." When God says "exceedingly and abundantly, far more than what you can imagine." That's God professing the dominion He has over your life. And it's for you to come to the understanding that there's no limit to what God can do.
In fact, Michelle says it. She says, "There's no limit what you can do because it all belongs to you." You have to remember that everything is happening for your greater good. God knew you before you were formed, so hence... why wouldn't what's supposed to be for you be a "yes?" It's time for you to embrace it. Remember, when God says, "yes," nobody can say, "no."

"Vitamin D" is a pun off my name. You know, you get Vitamin D from the sun, right? So I'm here to shed light into your life. Oftentimes, we go through different trials and tribulations in our life. And when we look around, it seems as though that there's darkness. But I want to remind you that there's a light that shines inside of you.
A light that no matter where you are, how far you look, how far you try to run, remind yourself that the light is right here inside. And what do we know about the light? Well, we know that the light can show you the way. In fact, we know that if you are a believer in God. God describes himself, herself, theyself as "the light and the way." And I get it, it gets hard.
In fact, it reminds me of the track entitled, “The Light" by Common and it he says, "There are times when you'll need someone. I will be by your side." Now, if your light is you, you realize you can't run away from you, but you can ignite what's inside of you. But you have to remind yourself, and this is what Common says, "There is a light, that shines. Special for you, and me."
So what say it? Are you going to find your inspiration? Are you going to decide that you can't fail if you don't quit? Are you going to realize that if you fall down seven times, get up eight and understand that if you can look up, you can get up. Why? Because your location is not your destination. Be the light. Seek the light. In fact, relish in the light.

The time is now to live your best life. Not tomorrow. Not next month. Not after you lose those twenty pounds. Till you fall in love. Till you get the dream job. But I'm talking about right now. Because right now is all that we have. Why do you think they call the present a gift? Hmm? You can only receive it in the now.
So I want to ask you, "Are you ready to give yourself your best life right now?" I mean, let's consider it golden, right? In fact, it makes me think of that track by Jill Scott entitled, “Golden" and in it she says, "I'm taking my freedom. Pulling it off the shelf." Where does your freedom lie? Where does your joy lie? More importantly, where is your peace?
She continues on, "I'm taking my freedom. Putting it in my stroll. I'll be high-stepping ya'll. Letting the joy unfold." They say, "joy is a state of being." How are you residing in your joy? There's confidence in knowing. What is it that you say of yourself? Who do you say that you are? More importantly, whose do you say that you are? And if you say who it is that you say that you are, are you ready to live your best life right now? Are you ready to live “golden?” I know I am.
