I'm here to remind you that whatever you want out of life, you can have it. I just need you to claim it. Right here. Right now. Now, this is nothing new. If you're a believer of the scripture you may have heard once or twice that, "Ask and you shall receive. Seek and you shall find. Knock and the door will be opened unto you." That's Matthew 7:7.
Now, why should that be any different when it comes to you living your life? Huh? You know, I was taking a listen to the track "Name It Claim It" by The Clark Sisters and in it they belt out, "Just name it and claim it. It's yours, it's yours. Yours for the asking. Yours, it's your blessing."
Are you ready to grab your blessing? Because it has your name on it. It has been distinctly designed for you. I can tell you this because I've lived to see mine. I've lived to receive mine. I've lived to breathe mine. And there's no reason why you can't have yours. You just got to "name it and claim it." Remember, it's yours for the asking.
Alright, that's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." Be sure to follow us on all social media @VitaminDDawnDai and until next time, always remember, "you are your greatest asset."

They say joy comes in the morning. What does your joy look like? Can you claim glory? Look, they say, "bad times don't last always, but good people do." Are you claiming your glory? I was listening to this track by Common entitled "Glory" and in it he says, "Hands to the Heavens, no man, no weapon. Formed against, yes glory is destined." There's confidence in knowing. You have to know what it is that you seek in your life.
Hmm? And you got to be ready to claim it. He goes on to say, "One day when the glory comes. It will be ours, it will be ours." What are you claiming for your life? Huh? What does it look like? Better yet, what is the vision? They say, "without a vision, the people will perish." Well, I don't know about you, but I'm ready to shout, "glory." Glory! Yes. So go out there and shout glory today. You deserve it because you're worth it.

Seasons. Just like we have seasons in nature we have "seasons" with our lives. What season are you in? Are you in a planting season? Are you in a sowing season? Are you in a reaping season? What season is it? Don't tell me. That's for you to figure out, because I want you to think of that whenever you look around and do an evaluation of your life. Wondering, are you where you're supposed to be or not?
Well, I'm here to remind you that you are. It makes me think of the track by Lauryn Hill, "Everything Is Everything" and in it she states, "Everything is everything. What is meant to be will be. After Winter must come Spring. Change, it comes eventually." I don't know what you're going through. I don't know what has you stressed out. But I want to let you know that it ain't over. Cause it ain't over. Because it ain't all right. And if it ain't all right, it's not over. So peace be still. Recognize the season you are in your life and understand that "everything is everything" and what is meant to be will be.

Do you have self-love? Now, listen, don't tell me this. This is for you to think about. And I have to ask you this, because we are so quick to say how much we love this car, how much we love this house, these clothes, this makeup... this animal. But how many times are we ready to profess the love that we have for ourselves?
And more importantly, what does it look like? Or rather, what does it feel like? I don't know about you, but I'm on my journey with self-love and it made me think about this track entitled, "Self Love" by Jayson Lyric featuring Nevaeh. And in it Nevaeh's in the chorus stating, "I ain't trying to be stubborn, but I could use some self loving. I ain't got to say nothing. They already know how I'm coming. I been working on me. I been loving on me. I had to learn to love myself."
What does loving you look like? Again, what does loving you feel like? And can you do it on your own? She continues to say, "I don't mind no help. I rather do it by myself. No, I don't mind no help, but I rather do it by myself. I been working on me. I been loving on me. I had to learn to love myself." I want you to take some time to get to know yourself so that you can love on yourself. You know, when we love things, we treat them with care. So why not do the same with you?
Hey, self-love is the best love, right?

How are you spending the days of your life? Are they adding up to something of significance? If not, why are you doing it? Day in and day out we’ve created this false notion that "functioning" is living. Let’s be clear, things function and it is people that live.
Knock, knock. Your wake-up call is here. Understand that this isn’t a dress rehearsal, this is life. Your life. I need you present each and every moment of your life. Doing, breathing and living out your dreams. I want to see you fulfilling your purpose. Is this going to cost you? Heck ya! But can you really place a price tag on your happiness? Your joy? Your peace? Hell no!
In the hit single, “I Lived,” rock band OneRepublic stresses how important it is to say to yourself, “I owned every second that this world could give. I saw so many places, the things that I did. With every broken bone, I swear I lived.” Can you say that to yourself? I don’t know about you, but that’s what I’m working on. Working on living my life at my greatest potential. I “hope [that] when you take that jump, you don't fear the fall. Hope when the water rises, you built a wall. Hope when the crowd screams out, they're screaming your name. Hope if everybody runs, you choose to stay.”
The next time you jump, don’t ask how high. Just jump and watch how far you can fly! Catch it!

Life is filled with many distractions, but we must keep our eyes on the prize. Understand that distractions only bring about temporary satisfaction. Working at a job you despise for 10 years because you were told you would a receive $30,000 bonus? Distraction. Staying in an abusive relationship because of the "comfort" of not feeling alone? Distraction. Or how about taking one more hit of that drug, because you want to release that pain? Distraction. So, what happened when it’s all said and done? Is the void you were trying to fill gone? No!
Focus on your dreams, because that’s where true happiness lies. I’m not saying it’s going to be easy, but it absolutely will be worth it. If it’s the money, it will come. Not wanting to feel alone, the right person will stand by your side. The need of drugs will subside because the action of you getting closer to your dreams will take you on a high that you could only imagine.
In the single, “Counting Stars,” OneRepublic hit the nail on the head stating, “no more counting dollars, we'll be counting stars.” Tonight, look into the sky and count every star with your dream on it. Notice how in the midst of the darkness that they manage to twinkle in the sky. Count the stars. Your dream is “up above the world so high, like a diamond in the sky.”
Let it shine, let it shine, let it shine!
