Walker, Texas Ranger – The Avenger (Season 4, Episode 19)

Walker teams with the FBI to bust an arms dealer. The guy in charge dies mid-hostage situation and uses his last breath to name-check a brother. That brother is Caleb Hooks (Michael Parks), a Vietnam-era mercenary trainer who takes the news about as well as you’d expect: he flies a newspaper in by helicopter, steals Walker out of his own living room, and puts him through a homemade trial-by-combat gauntlet.

James, Clint, and Ryan go scene-by-scene through the empty gun case “arms deal,” the FBI agent who folds like a lawn chair, Chuck reading a book by the fire like a normal person, the spinning bamboo cage, fights in the dark, on spikes, with katanas, with flaming sticks over an electric floor, and finally an Old West street that comes with its own production-assistant tumbleweed.

Walker, Texas Ranger – El Coyote (two-parter as one)

Chuck Norris dyes his hair and beard black, slaps on a handkerchief, and goes undercover as Gomez from Guadalajara to bust a slave-trading ring. Jesse Rodriguez is back. Jimmy Trivett walks into a hotel room like he owns the place. And Walker lasts about five minutes before he starts trying to blow his own cover.

This is the most undercover Walker has ever looked… and the least convincing. Black bangs. No Spanish. Blue eyes explained by “lots of Germans settled there.” Clifton Collins Jr. is young and hungry in the crowd. The recruiter is selling luxury resorts and the governor’s mansion. The box truck has holes in the roof. Border Patrol looks at three abandoned vehicles and decides the paperwork isn’t worth it.

We get the full two-parter in one sitting: the Home Depot recruitment pitch, the night crossing, Halifax Construction internment camp, the woman who collects ninja “toys,” a legitimately good fight, Jimmy’s peak swagger scene, and Walker flying out of trees and off roofs because patience is for other people.

It’s a grim premise that the show treats like a Tuesday. We talk about what works, what’s ridiculous, what should have been a full season instead of two episodes, and why Mexican Chuck might be the most Walker thing that has ever happened.

This week James, Clint, and Ryan Mueller (in the official Chuck shirt) tear through Walker, Texas Ranger Season 4’s “The Juggernaut.” We get a bar fight that starts because a guy said “howdy,” a trailer-park 911 call that never ends, a judge who is done with this case, Chuck’s karate kids with the greatest 90s haircuts in Texas, Jimmy teaching self-defense in a Michelin Man suit, CD being CD, and a 90s Bronco that becomes a 5,000-pound weapon.

Chuck spends most of the episode tracking instead of kicking. The ladies do not.

Come for the roundhouse drought. Stay for the campfire trauma stories, the mustard-related beating, the extra-of-the-week debate, and the moment the whole crew realizes this guy is a satellite-dish-level piece of trash.

LaRue is back, and he’s somehow even slimier than last time. Fresh off a technicality release that makes zero sense, the long-haired (wait, now Clooney-haired?) psycho shows up at Alex’s fancy dinner with a dead rat, starts stalking her like it’s a full-time job, and turns Walker’s ranch into a pure nightmare of lead pipes, scorpions, and “this is too easy” plot holes.

James, Clint, Bob, and Mattila dig into Season 4 Episode 15 — The Return of LaRue — the episode that somehow takes one of the show’s best villains and runs him straight into the dirt. Shawshank song theft, Dirty Harry beatdowns, missing 24-hour protection, a horse that knows knots, and enough bad writing to make you question the justice system and the writers’ room.

Classic Walker mayhem with extra side-eye. You know what to do.

Walker goes undercover in a maximum-security prison as “the Ice Man” (the world’s worst hitman with the most recognizable face in Texas) after a protected witness and a couple of Rangers get smoked. Trivette tags along as a brand-new prison guard, the sets look suspiciously like a parking structure and plywood, there’s a tornado, a chaplain who’s better at documenting crime than saving souls, and Chuck still manages to work in some chair-building and a solid body count.

Special guest Bob Hauser joins Clint and the crew for his first Walker episode as they track the body count, hand out Extra of the Week, rate the bad guys on the old TV scale, and decide how many Texas Ranger stars this one earns.

Walker’s got Irish assassins, peace treaties in Fort Worth, and a body count climbing faster than the accents can get worse. Chuck makes out with a honey pot, Trivett finally gets to be a badass, and somebody’s couch is apparently bulletproof. We’re scene-by-scene-ing Flashpoint — the one with the exploding news van, the rocket-launcher ambush, the priest with a secret, and the absolute chaos of trying to solve the Troubles from Dallas. Awards, extras, and the usual mayhem. This one’s a ride.

Season 4, Episode 12: “Rodeo.”

Walker’s still fighting crime while we’re on the couch unleashing quips… and a whole lot of frustration. A blind hitman with a scoped pistol is systematically wiping out witnesses, and the last one left happens to be Alex’s ex-boyfriend Dalton — a bull rider who lives his life eight seconds at a time and refuses protective custody.

Cue the full rodeo circus: barrel racing that looks suspiciously slow, Chuck getting tapped out by the Machado brothers, purposeful camera pans to Chuck’s jeans (twice), a rodeo clown, an “ass competition,” and the most unnecessary plane wing-walk rescue in Walker history. Meanwhile Alex is having flashbacks, making out, and generally making Chuck (and us) wonder what the hell happened to the Whitewater progress.

Blind assassins, C4 on a camper, a female hitwoman who somehow moonlights as a competitive barrel racer, and more relationship whiplash than one episode should be allowed to have. We’re deep in the season’s emotional dip and this one is testing our patience in new and creative ways. Scene-by-scene riffs, extras of the week, and plenty of “what the actual fuck was that” energy. Join us… if you dare.

Season 4, Episode 11: “The Covenant.”

Walker’s on a crime-fighting tear while we’re on the couch unleashing quips. A local gang is shaking down businesses and starting turf wars—no vampires, no witches, just Vatos Locos rolling up on CD’s bar with bad timing and worse ideas. CD handles it the only way he knows how (shotgun first, situational awareness never), and things escalate fast.

Meanwhile Chuck’s running a karate class for disadvantaged youth that somehow includes one of the darkest trauma dumps in Walker history, a kid short seven bucks for a Christmas present, rival gangs with questionable casting, a tortilla factory that keeps getting shut down, and the usual “Walker can just order entire street gangs around and they listen” energy. Christmas music, Santa, a park party, and the classic “do unto others before they do unto you” holiday spirit.
