Lois Duncan was an acclaimed author who was most famous for being a pioneer in the young adult crime thriller genre. In 1979 she wrote the book "I Know What You Did Last Summer" which would later be adapted into a blockbuster slasher hit. Ten years after writing this book in 1989 Lois would face her own tragedy when her daughter was brutally murdered. She used her platform as an author to not only investigate her daughters case but document her investigation in 2 non-fiction novels! Moral of this story...
