I spoke about support in episode 26, I think its quintessential to the growth of an artist on the independent level. With that said I am an avid listener to Harold's podcast on Thursdays! From the first day I was invited to come to the live airing, I loved the way that they incorporated the audience and their topics. It takes a lot to talk about the pop culture and in the great city of Houston He and his cohosts are leading the way! Harold is originally from San Diego, CA and packed up to attend Grambling State University. Upon completion looked up rental amounts and decided to move to The Loan Star State (14:30)! Harold sited that the process of building your brand is what Houston allowed Him to do and his advice to Houston actors specifically is to build your brand here (16:00)so that when you move to the New York's, LA's or Atlanta's you're not starting from the bottom! In LA all you need is one shot, in Houston you can self build! Harold created the 1989 Dreams Productions and they have a 90's theme party at the Midtown Art Center on September 6-8, 2019, tickets are available online at the link below. I swear to y'all I will be a pro at this in the near future lol. My editor's url address is https://www.tempesttlives.com. not org! My fault T! I love what I do, there hasn't been one creative that I brought on that hasn't felt the same about themselves and what I am doing! I'm a very perceptive person! In this lane, I am constantly watching and looking out for the creatives! That's when I peeped what Monique was doing! She's a U of H Delta who graduated with a Communications degree! She sites that from the age of 9 she always wanted to write! She wrote a book entitled The Graduate and polished it up! She sent me the refined version and that version is what our discussion was about! I found the piece to be descriptive! I found that Monique writes as if she is a well known author and during the conversation I heard how trained she is and what helped her get to this point in her career for example being certified to ghost write. This isn't a book review but more so an opportunity to invoke praise in a powerful creative! A woman of purpose Monique stated that she will hang up her hat on writing her own projects to become more focused on screen writing! I want to interrupt this description to say that The vocalist and R&B powerhouse Damaria gave me her blessings to play her video on my podcast! Episode number 25, wow I'm getting up there! I wanted Coach Waller to be my first guest because I felt that the relationship is the key component to partnerships and was what you would see in each episode! Coach Waller is the head volleyball coach at Waltrip High School. She gave me the opportunity to give volleyball a shot. I have learned so much about that sport and grown to understand the complexity of it. Her slogan is "I help people heal their relationship with themselves to heal their relationship with others" which means that the change has to come within you! She sites child hood experiences as the cause for present day behavior. She speaks on how to she was able to monetize he creativity. There are so many gems in this episode. I want to start out with a correction, my mother's birthday is the 4th not the 5th and this episode dropped today 08/06/19 which is my brothers birthday! Salutations!! This is episode 23, I have a lot to say so lets jump right in! First and foremost I'm back in the city for this episode! I had to record fresh from NYC so that the residue was still on me. NYC was amazing and beautiful as always and the greatest part of that experience was that I got to spend it with the most important person in my life, MY WIFE! 'Where you walk, love, I kiss the floor'.This is a very emotional episode for me. During the duration of Whats Next!? I have spoken about my son abundantly. On June 25, 2019 my wife and I laid him to rest! My son taught me a lot, I recollect back to how I started off the description in episode 19: ["Resilience is very different than being numb. Resilience means you experience, you feel, you fail, you hurt, You fall. But, you keep going." Resiliency! That’s the word that I have been hearing in my head! Thinking of my son, I recollect on how resilient he was! In the face of doubt and he never gave in! My hero, everything I do is for him Rest In Peace John Ross Dike II... 05/20/19-06/25/19!] It's important to be the best at whatever you do in life! No matter what be the best so that you know without a shadow of doubt that you gave it your all! This is episode is my best episode thus far because I didn't hide from my emotions I utilized them! Man, my son could have been anything he wanted in life! That belief will plague me forever but GOD heals all things in time and I am at peace with Baby D having served His purpose! Episode 21 I'm in Lewisville, TX with Ade and Brie Ogundipe! Together they run Addy Daddy Seasoning. Let me begin with creatives gone create, I think its important to say that a key ingredient to my podcast is I like to go into the creatives home and do the podcast in their space. I do that for a couple of reasons, 1) I feel that some of the energy in the room touches me; I get to see how the creatives moves in their personal space. Do they have kids, do they live alone, etc. 2) I want the creative to not have to move much when they come on. I want them to be comfortable! Ade sites that discovering that he had high blood pressure pushed him to work out more consistently! He went from Tonys Chachere's, to Mrs. Dash to Webbers but still felt it was salty. Ade ordered bulk of seasonings grind it by himself! He smoked his own turkey and according to him it came out good. Ade sites that he loves to cook but doesn't like all those ingredients and His goal is for people to get the flavor without all the saltiness. One thing I love is that Brie and Ade work jointly to produce this creation. He spoke on the fact that there were no obstacles in bringing her on! She was a 100% in from the jump. I am finally out of the teens! Here it is, Episode 20 and I recollect of the emotion Nas had in Time is Illmatic when he had completed his debut and He said and I quote "Here it is, this is song number 1" except this isn't an album but the 20th episode of my podcast. Its surreal because of where I came from. I wanted to express this is the show credits for Love Overdxse (Ep 19), but I had other feelings for that episode.

On this episode, I speak to the second Booker T. Washington Alumni to be on my podcast! Rodney and I have been going back and forth about doing this episode for 2 months. Timing and everything is critical. We speak about the authenticity of his IG page verses his gym (7:30). He sites Primetime 3000 for the imaginary and ability to capture the most intricate moments while his trainers are MOTIVATING, COACHING, INSPIRING and CORRECTING actions of his clients. I was captivated by the gym for the simple fact that there are individuals in HOUSTON who have come from ground up to create visions that have changed their lives! His level of professionalism inspired me to speak more eloquently. He recollects on journey and sites that he worked for a few gyms (13:50) and upon meeting a client whose father was working as a regional manager for precision drilling (14:45)! That clients father would later give Rodney a job and that's where Rodney got his financial backing but his passion for fitness had him purchasing a piece of equipment every time he when to a Walmart. Rodney constantly site his faith as the source that provided him opportunity after opportunity! The most important thing that Rodney said was that you have to make up in your mind you that you can do it. It starts with the preparation of your mind! (22:00) God is Grand remember that! Damaria started making music at Prairie View (11:33) and was singing at PV (12:40)! In Purpose, which is episode 14 of my podcast I was introduced to Damaria, Kenedi (Sir Ja Monét) gave me an EP. That EP is entitled Love Overdxse, I listened to Love Overdxse twice and was connected to it! That EP is what this episode is about. We dive into it. We listen to the music and zone out! The first track that we talk about is Questions (17:37) I randomly played it on Purpose (EP 14), there was a visual (19:42)! We learn about the intro track Damn Pride (24:56) and find out that that was how the EP got its name! Never Find Another (41:27) was a woman’s declaration for a man to understand that she is unique and irreplaceable and she’s not with the bs so put up or get out the way! Friday Night (42:51) “A crowd favorite” Damaria states is an interlude which left me wanting more but I find out that the beat was created like that! Thinkin (47:44), my favorite record on the episode features the only hip hop artist on the EP. Damaria credits the fact of she and Jamie Hancock going to PV together as a source to their compatibility! We didn’t get to the segment ‘Songs On Your Mind’, to be honest I forgot about it and the video was cut short because i ran out of space on my SD card, everything happens for a reason! I realize that this episode may be too long but there was no wasted second this episode, I took my time working this episode so I could fix every concern I had! This is the best one I have done and I’m grateful to be apart of her story! God is Grand remember that! This episode is also dedicated to my son! I love what I do! I know that that’s the case because I’ll work a millions job to be able to have an opportunity to be an artist! The last couple of years I learned a few things about myself! The most intriguing thing is that I am resilient! You give me the resources and I will find a way to get the job done! This episode is a prime example of my resilience! We had to re-record it because the audio was terrible! Long story less long we re-recorded and it came out better than the first one! I want to introduce you to my editor! Tempestt Green and I started our teaching careers at the same time! It was that summer that I convinced her to help me make my projects whole! We talk about her love for reading and writing, although Tempestt has said that she doesn’t consider herself a creative I disagree!
