Phenom Blak and Ash are joined by JaxxDynamite to review Season 1 of Netflix's New Original Series "On My Block", the Latinx coming of age story about four friends just trying to survive through neighborhood gang violence and the wackiness of puberty.  Created by Eddie Gonzalez, On My Block stars Monse (Sierra Capri), Ruby (Jason Genao), Jamal (Brett Gray), Cesar (Diego Tinoco), Olivia (Ronnie Hawk), and Jasmine (Jessica Marie Garcia) as 5 and a half friends attempting to make it through high school, family and personal issues, their own friendships, love, treasure hunts, and gangs with their lives and reputations intact.  It's a wonderful show for teens and adults to watch together.

In this review we highlighted all the best moments from Season 1, along with discussing something we hope to learn about these characters next season and how Netflix plans to deal with that major season finale cliff hanger.  Will everything be different next season?  Will next season be as funny and fun to watch as this season or will it be more serious?  Let's talk it out.

Review of FX's Atlanta, and this week in season 2 episode 5 "Barbershop" where Paper Boi just wants a cut, but when you're Barber is as talented and scatterbrained as Bibby it's easier said than done.  This is one of their Blackest episodes yet.  Phenomblak, MsMusiclover, Twanburgandy  and Xmike make sure to cover it all in detail with a bonus discussion their own club experiences all thanks to Donald Glover's.

The Barbershop is a staple in the Black community for many reasons, and finding the right barbershop is every client's gift and curse.  See, Bibby is a caricature.  He like Jiminy Cricket or Baloo or that cousin that your momma doesn't like you hanging out with even if that IS her sister's kid.  There is definitely some good there, and if it wasn't such a chore to get to the good the whole world would be better off.  This episode is every client's Barbershop nightmare.

Every Black men has had their experience where after enough is enough you start to wonder if looking good with a fresh cut is even really worth all this hassle and almost-got-arresteds.

On this episode of Podvengers, Spider-man Films from Tobey Maguire to Tom Holland.  Which Spidey Cinematic Universe is the best and which is the worst.

Okay, I don't think it's a big secret that certain hosts on this podcast are NOT fans of the Sam Raimi films, no matter how stellar they were relatively speaking at the time.  That's not the say they don't have gems or even to take away the notion of them, specifically Spider-man 2, being the gateway drug of respect to future CBM.  Even then, there's just so much screaming!

This discussions doesn't ignore The Amazing Spider-Man films either.  It was hard for some of us to stand by helplessly as Sony treated the Andrew Garfield films like failures despite grossing over half-a-billion dollars at the box office.  We also did a pretty thorough review of Spider-Man Homecoming with our opinions on it's strengths and weakness, while also flooding your ears with a barrage of clips from the film with some of our favorite moments.
