Why downtime is as important as training

Listen Later

Equiteam's Liz and Lou look at why rest is just as important for both you and your horse to allow time for proper recovery, muscle and soft tissue repair, and is good for your mental health and well-being. Whilst we like to work hard to achieve our goals, remembering the importance of downtime is just as vital. As well as aiding with concentration and energy levels, it also helps to prevent injuries. As the conversation flows the duo get on to school holiday guilt and why sometimes going away can leave you more exhausted!

If you would like to connected with other equestrians just like you, take part in our quest or online dressage teams and access our huge content library, you can join EquiTeam at www.equiteam.co.uk
