Soon everyone would discover that while Lauren was simply just being neighborly to Stephen, waving and smiling at him in passing, he was building a fantasy world in his head and it completely revolved around Lauren. Moral of this story... We never truly know what's going on behind closed doors.

On this episode of Wife of Crime I'm telling Russ the harrowing and tragic case of Judy Malinowski. In 2015 Judy was in a volatile relationship with her boyfriend Mike Slager. One afternoon while stopping at a gas station for cigarettes the two of them get into a fight and Mike pours gasoline on Judy and sets her on fire! Over the next 2 years she would fight through unfathomable pain to stay alive. She not only changed the law in Ohio but would be the first person in US history to testify in her own murder trial! In 2013 the world watch in horror as 3 women were rescued from a house they had been held captive in for the last 11 years. Many saw the viral video of Charles Ramsey, a neighbor who helped one of the women break the front door of the home so she could finally be free. I thought I knew this story but I truly had no idea!!
