1. Luigi Mangione's pre-trial court hearing continues today in New York on the anniversary of the killing of United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson. The central issue remains whether statements Mangione made to police before being read his Miranda rights and items seized from his backpack were legally obtained. The outcome of this suppression hearing will significantly shape both the state murder case and the separate federal case, in which the U.S. Department of Justice is seeking the death penalty. The hearing could extend to next week.

2. What's public and what's private along the beaches of Lake Michigan? That's the question a municipal judge in Shorewood is currently wrestling with and it all stems from a 313-dollar ticket for trespassing. Paul Florsheim is representing himself, after he claims he was wrongfully given a citation in August. Police say Florsheim ignored "no trespassing" signs while walking on a stretch of shoreline just north of Atwater Park. But Florsheim told FOX6 he contends he was on public land the whole time. Florsheim argues Wisconsin’s public trust doctrine allows the public to walk on the land between the water’s edge and what is known as the ordinary high-water mark, a boundary line left by the continuous presence of water. But the village says private property owners own everything down to the water, citing a 1923 Wisconsin Supreme Court ruling that focused on a land dispute along Lake Winnebago. The judge has said she could need it by the end of the year to reach a decision.

3. Just moments ago, the Brewers unveiled new uniforms for the upcoming season. The Brewers X account teased this yesterday with a post that said “noon tomorrow” with video that included a mashup of players from the 70's and 80's with players from the current roster, the common theme, powder blue.

1. Detroit’s carmakers are applauding the Trump administration’s rollback of aggressive fuel economy standards. Ford, GM and Stellantis with similar statements with the same theme, this aligns fuel economy goals to market realities. The carmakers say they can still improve fuel efficiency while still giving consumers more choice.

2. The Milwaukee Public Museum should be demolished, and its land made available for housing and other development, after the museum's future facility opens in 2027. That's according to a new report about the county-owned property.

ABC News Investigative Reporter Peter Charalambous talks about how a police officer who responded last December 9th to a McDonald's where witnesses said they may have spotted the man accused of killing a health care CEO testified Tuesday that he knew right away it was the suspect. Mangione was in court Tuesday for the second day of a high stakes hearing in his state criminal case, where his lawyers are fighting to bar prosecutors from using key evidence against him, including the alleged murder weapon and writings that prosecutors say amount to a confession, by arguing it was unlawfully seized when his backpack was searched without a warrant. Day 3 of the hearing is scheduled for Thursday.

1. The Packers and Bears are heading to primetime, but not this week. The NFL announces the Packers and Bears game in week 14 of the season is being flexed to a Saturday Night Contest. This Sunday's game kicks off at 3:25 at Lambeau. The week-14 contest will kick off at 7:20 on Saturday, December 20th. Plenty of intrigue here as the Bears are currently one game ahead of the Packers in the win column in the NFC North. The history of this rivalry is also well-documented. That's Bears Head Coach, Ben Johnson called out Matt LaFleur by name despite not having a relationship of any kind with the Packers Coach. The Packers have two more “TBD” dates on their schedule: Week 17 against the Baltimore Ravens and Week 18 against the Minnesota Vikings.

2. President Trump is taking aim at Somali immigrants in Minnesota, as ICE prepares to ramp up operations in the state's two largest cities. The President making his comments during a cabinet meeting Tuesday, also taking aim at House Democrat Ilhan Omar, a Somali immigrant who became a US citizen 25 years ago, referring to her as "garbage". ICE plans an enforcement crackdown soon in both Minneapolis and St. Paul, which are home to some of the largest Somali populations in the U.S. Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey (fry) said the city will not cooperate with federal agents. Mayor Frey also says there are credible reports that as many as 100 agents could be headed to Minneapolis.

3. The first of 5 defendants in the Matthew Perry case will be sentenced today in federal court in Los Angeles. The five defendants, all of whom have entered guilty pleas, were part of an alleged underground network that provided the former Friends star with large amounts of the drug. Two of the five defendants are physicians. One is Perry's former assistant, one is a middleman who physically gave the drugs to Perry's former assistant, and the other is a woman known as the Ketamine Queen. If convicted, Plasencia could face up to 40 years in prison.
