1. Breaking News today in the race for Wisconsin governor. A big name in the Milwaukee business world and a man with experience in the Governor's cabinet is seriously considering a run in 2026. Greater Milwaukee Committee President Joel Brennan is interested in the state's top spot. Brennan served as current Governor Tony Evers' top aide, before taking over at the GMC in 2021. He was also President and CEO of Discovery World in downtown Milwaukee for nearly 12 years. Brennan expects to make a final decision in the coming weeks. An additional high-profile Democratic candidate could re-shape the primary dynamics. Brennan would join a crowded field including Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and Lt. Governor Sarah Rodriquez. Governor Tony Evers is not running for re-election.

2. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem announced $10,000 bonuses for Transportation Security Administration agents who continued to work during the government shutdown. President Donald Trump recommended a similar bonus payout for air traffic controllers who essentially had perfect attendance, never "calling out sick" during the shutdown.

3. Meet America's Most Trusted Companies. Forbes is out with the list today! The magazine examined the two-thousand companies based here in the U.S., that have more than one-thousand employees. Topping the list of most trusted companies: Nvidia. Delta Airlines ranks number 10 among most trusted companies. Southwest, the largest carrier out of Mitchell International Airport here in Milwaukee, wasn't far behind. Southwest comes in at number 13.

1. The federal government is starting to re-open its agencies. The longest government shutdown in U.S. history is now over. President Trump signed the House-passed 'funding package' last night. It was a long 43 days for many families and while this is good news, it's not as though everything snaps back into place immediately. In fact, air travel across the country may need several more days, before it's back to normal. The airlines say they're not expecting any residual impact from the shutdown for Thanksgiving travelers. So, that's great news for many of you. The trade group, Airlines for America, says the priority right now is to make sure all those air traffic controllers finally get paid.

2. The field of candidates for the next Governor of the state of Wisconsin could be growing. Greater Milwaukee Committee President, Joel Brennan tells WTMJ he is considering running for the state's top job in 2026. Brennan was appointed by Governor Evers as the secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Administration in 2018 before stepping down in January of 2022 to head up the GMC. Prior to that, Brennan was the President and CEO of Discovery World. Brennan would join a crowded field on the Democratic side. The candidates include state Rep. Francesca Hong, Lt. Gov. Sara Rodriguez, state Sen. Kelda Roys, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley and former Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation head Missy Hughes.
